Villa Bordoni

Nestled in the beautiful Chianti countryside is the most wonderful haven of tranquility combining excellent cuisine, breathtaking views and very personal attentive service. From the moment we arrived we were greeted with friendliness and were made to immediately feel at home - nothing too much effort from our hosts. The pool area is in a beautiful garden where you can peacefully soak up the atmosphere and the cooking school is an absolute must - such a lovely way to spend an afternoon, the chef was so kind as to change the menu on the day due to our fussiness, and that accommodating flexibility was massively appreciated. We only wish we could have stayed longer at this wonderful property, oh well, we will have to make a return trip! Thank you to all the staff for making it such a memorable visit.

Beauty everywhere

This is the most incredible place I have ever stayed in. We had the most wonderful time and all the staff were lovely. The grounds are phenomenally beautiful and we cannot wait to return.

Amazing location!! Heavenly views. Private parking. Gorgeous pool. The rooms are so unique. Our bathroom had small windows that looked into a garden. It felt like you were showering in a garden. The staff was super kind and were really patient because we had our toddler with us. Amazing food in the restaurant. We ate there several nights. The cleaning staff also do a great job tidying your room. We lost several things and the next day, the staff found them when they cleaned. So they really clean!! Just a gorgeous property.

We had a fabulous time at the Villa. It is such a gorgeous place and the staff are so friendly and accommodating. The place is just magical.

We stayed a couple of nights before a wedding elsewhere and chose the Limonaia Garden Room which is separate from the hotel across the courtyard garden. There is a private shaded decking area outside the bedroom and the pool is just across the way. Totally relaxing and completed by a great breakfast and dinner. If you are an early riser you might be able to get your caffeine fix a little earlier.

I wouldn’t change a thing about our stay at Villa Bordini. From the start, a friendly, cheerful welcome; a fabulous room with private patio was cool, clean and comfortable; delicious food and drinks, a location that is very beautiful and staff that provide excellent, cheerful service.

It will be hard to express how much we enjoyed our stay here. My sister and I arrived to a very lovely greeting and were brought up to our lovely room on the third floor. We had the bedroom, the bathroom, nice closet and a lovely sitting area with a couch, couple of arm chairs and a table with chairs. We were overlooking lovely countryside and homes.
The people who own and run this property are lovely. We enjoyed our breakfast every morning. Very nice choices and variety to start the day. We sat outside for cocktails one day. We relaxed by the pool a couple of times. The flowers blooming, the birds chirping, just so well kept and a lovely overall experience. We had dinner here a few times. Very excellently prepared food. Our favorite were the braised artichokes. We couldn’t get enough of them. We had a wonderful experience of a cooking class with some lovely, friendly young people. The chef was so informative. She gave us a quick tutorial on how to make the artichokes!! We made focaccia. We made a flourless, chocolate cake, beef stew, and pasta with a red sauce. We sat with the people in our class and enjoyed wine and our meal that we made. It was a truly lovely and amazing experience.
We spoke to the owner a time or two and he was a very nice gentleman and it’s easy to see why he would choose to live here and had such lovely people working for him. I don’t know if I will ever get the opportunity to go back here, but if I could, I would. The roads are a bit tough to drive but we always had somebody transporting us around.
A very memorable experience!!

This is such a special peaceful welcoming and beautiful place. It is restorative and the service and accommodations are second to none. The experience will not disappoint you!

Fabulous hotel excellent staff and looked after so well

Had a wonderful 5 night stay at the Villa Bardoni in Chianti. Memorable views of the vineyards, olive orchards, Villa gardens and surrounding historic properties. Many choices at breakfast to enjoy on verandah or in the gardens. Chianti cooking class fun and highly recommended. Staff tended to our every wish/need. We had a rental vehicle to explore Greve, wineries and surrounding cafes/osterias. We gladly followed up with Giulia's suggestions. Highly recommend and would love to go back.

We had such a wonderful and magical time at Villa Bordoni! It was very easy to book directly through their site, and they were very responsive to questions and any help we needed. Upon arrival, every staff person was so very nice and accommodating! The rooms were beautiful and nicely detailed. The common space is lovely! And with only 12 total rooms, it is very intimate and serene. The food is wonderful and the extra tours they provide are wonderful! We highly recommend this beautiful place - great location - easy drive to Florence for the day, and surrounding small villages!

Our stay at Villa Bordoni in Greve, Italy was nothing short of magical! It was truly a 5-star experience in every way. Not only did we stay here, but we also held our wedding behind the villa, surrounded by the most breathtaking scenery imaginable. The rolling vineyard-covered hills, the incredibly beautiful flowers (especially the white roses), and the perfectly curated grounds created a setting that felt straight out of a fairy tale.

The staff helped make the experience all the more memorable. They were warm, attentive, and genuinely kind from the moment we walked in. They made us feel like family, and their hospitality never wavered throughout our stay. On our wedding day, they went above and beyond the call of duty providing champagne, a beautiful wedding cake, and even my wife’s bouquet made from flowers grown right on the property. Every detail was handled with such care and thoughtfulness.

The villa itself is stunning, with each room uniquely designed and incredibly comfortable. It was perfect for relaxing and taking in the beauty of Tuscany. The location was also ideal, offering an easy drive to Florence for exploring the city. We took the cooking class, which was not only a fun and memorable experience, but it also resulted in the best meal we had during our time in Italy—hands down.

Our time at Villa Bordoni made our wedding an absolute dream come true! It truly was a fairy tale brought to life. It would not have been possible without the incredible staff and the wonderful accommodations. We cannot recommend this place highly enough!

From the moment you drive up to Villa Bordoni you will be in awe of its beauty- not only are you surrounded by vineyards and the Tuscan hills but the villa itself is just lovely and the staff are all exceptional. They go above and beyond to make your trip great. My family of four ( sons ages 21 and 19) loved our daily breakfast ( great variety from several different freshly baked pastries to yogurt, fruit, salmon, eggs sandwiches) and highly recommend the cooking class. The pool is amazing and the grounds are beautifully kept. Honestly, our best family trip yet. We would love to someday go back to Villa Bordoni, it is truly perfection!

Beautiful gardens and food. Access to surrounding greve

My wife and I stayed at Villa Bordoni in May and everything was great. We took a cooking class and the staff overall was very helpful and attentive to anything you need. I highly recommend.
