Beautiful gardens and food. Access to surrounding greve
Nothing, just country roads unpaved and narrow
Location, excellent view, phenomenal food (lunch and dinner), very comfortable bed and fully equipped room
Would have loved a cozier living room or other option for sitting indoors other than the restaurant when the weather is cold. More context / info upon check in
Great location, beautiful grounds and hotel. Staff and environment is relaxed luxury. Food and wine excellent and the organised tour and cooking school are great
Walking into the Villa Bordoni was like a dream, it was so much more than we expected. The flowers were in bloom which were so beautiful. There were two of us, so the Jr. Suite was perfect and very comfortable. The staff was amazing and accommodating. The service was over and above expectations. The food at the restaurant was also very good and highly recommended. We looked forward to the amazing breakfast each morning on the patio overlooking the hills of Chianti. The weather was perfect for lounging around the gardens and reading by the pool. The property was very clean and extremely well-manicured. We enjoyed the wine tasting excursion with Tomasso as our host. The cooking class was also very fun, the chef was amazing and very patient, great multitasker! It was nice meeting others in our class, hearing their travel stories while enjoying the feast we created. Great value and located just an hour from Florence and 35 min walk to Greve. This was a perfect stay in Tuscany!
The experience was amazing. Staff, rooms, grounds - all amazing. David - the owner gave us so many amazing recommendations for day trips and little towns to stop into. We did a cooking class which was 10/10 experience. Highly recommend. Restaurant was top notch. HIGHLY RECOMMEND staying
The Villa and grounds, the staff, and the food were all amazing. Everyone was friendly and happy to share their recommendations and favorite places to explore in the area. I highly recommend the Limonaia room, it is detached from the main Villa and sits in the middle of the beautiful grounds. Don’t overlook the nearby small town of Greve in Chianti, very charming and friendly people.
Thanks for the wonderful time, special thanks to Giulia for her help with some special arrangements.
This was by far our favorite place to stay during our 8 night trip to Italy. I can not say enough for ALL the staff who went out of their way to make us comfortable and help us with sightseeing arrangements. We highly recommend and would definitely stay here again! The food was outstanding as was the scenery! Thank you all!
The staff was amazing. Giulia was so delightful and ready to be of service and assistance in every way. The Wine tour was amazing and the food at the restaurant was delicious.
A fabulous place. The setting is gorgeous, the grounds are beautifully landscaped and maintained, the pool area is perfectly private and discreet, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, the hotel is very tastefully and classily decorated, and the food at breakfast and dinner was absolutely first-rate.
We had an amazing family stay at Villa Bordoni for two nights while visiting our daughter studying in Florence. The entire staff was so friendly and went out of their way to ensure we were taken care of, especially Julia and Hugo! The triple room was spacious and perfect for three grown children as well. The atmosphere was cozy and serene, and the food at the restaurant was excellent. Terrific value! Be prepared that taxis can get expensive but needed from the high location, and euros are preferred. Overall highly recommend!
Geweldige sfeer in balans met alles
Villa Bordoni is excellent in every respect. Most importantly, the staff were friendly, kind and a lot of fun to talk with. The rooms were big, comfortable and filled with antiques. I highly recommend the restaurant, where I dined several nights. All in all, a terrific place.
My wife and I recently returned from 2 weeks in Italy finishing things off with 5 nights at the Villa Bordoni staying in the Montefiorale room. I provide several pictures of the room, views and grounds to try and give an overall complete picture. We used the villa as a starting point each day to visit various parts of Tuscany. If you have the chance to spend time here, you will not regret it.
One point to note, the road up to the villa can seem a little alarming at first. The last mile or so is essentially only wide enough for one vehicle making an encounter with another challenging especially if this is your first time driving in Italy and some may not be comfortable in this situation. I would definitely recommend not driving to the villa for the first time at night if you can help it. But the reality is, we only met another vehicle once and navigated through pretty easily. Additionally, once you have driven it a few times it is really not a big deal. What you should do is pull to the side where you can a few times to take in the breathtaking views and be thankful you have the opportunity to visit a place so beautiful.
Before I move on, it is important to first provide feedback regarding the villa staff. Everyone was great, but my wife and I agree Hugo is a standout among the rest of the staff, always greeting you with a smile and quick to help out with anything you might need. Thank you Hugo!
Our room was roomy with a large closet and spacious bathroom. The windows look out over the gardens and the vineyards in the background. Very peaceful.
The villa itself is amazing and the pictures do not do it justice. The rooms are incredibly clean and the grounds are impeccably maintained. While the weather in October is not warm enough to use the pool, you should still take advantage of the lounges and the beautiful space to relax, read a book or just enjoy the peaceful area. It was warm enough a few of the days for us to enjoy lunch and even one breakfast in the garden area. We ate breakfast most days, two lunches and two dinners. The breakfast spread is wonderful with meats, cheeses, pastries, breads, fruit, and more. What a wonderful way to start off each day. As the villa only has about ten rooms, the lunch and dinner menus may seem somewhat limited when you review them on line but in reality everything is so delicious you will end up finishing your stay and still not having been able to try everything. Between us we sampled 4 of the 6 pasta courses, all excellent, along with several second courses with the wild boar stew being my personal favorite.
Villa Bordoni was absolutely magical — the perfect place to spend part of our honeymoon. From the moment we arrived, Giulia greeted us with such warmth and positivity; she was absolutely amazing and made us feel instantly at home. The villa itself is stunning, with breathtaking views, incredible food, and an atmosphere that feels like pure Tuscany. Every meal was outstanding, especially dinner in the garden overlooking the vineyards. The staff went above and beyond in every way. We’ll never forget our stay and can’t wait to return!
I cannot say enough about our stay at Villa Bordoni. Their attention to detail, the friendliness of the entire staff, the curated menu of the beautiful restaurant, and the absolute beauty of the grounds, all 5star. Thank you especially to Hugo and Lapo for the forever hospitality.
This Villa is a must !
Again, simply delightful.
