Très bonne escale à Balestrand, village charmant.
Pros:

La situation face au fjord et sa position bien centrale de l’agglomération.

Cons:

Les chambres face à la montagne ou la vue est très limitée. Le petit déjeuner très sommaire se résume à 1 ou 2 croissants et du café filtre

Balestrand is a very cute town
Pros:

Very nice, comfortable. It’s right in the center of town which is pretty small. The view was awesome. The rooms are small but comfortable. The facilities are clean.

Cons:

We have nothing negative to say. Wish we stayed 2 nights instead of just 1 night

Way too expensive: The room was outdated, no breakfast ( only brewed coffee and a croissant), you need to pay extra to get an espresso drink in the morning

It was very conveniently located and the staff were lovely! Beautiful setting overlooking the fjord.

Chairs and table outside my room to enjoy Sun (yes, there was it).
The art around all the hotel is fresh and beautiful.
The view is beautiful 😍

Cons:

There was no convenient way (such as a ramp) to bring up wheeled suitcases; the same entrance used by cars had to be used.

Pros:

Fin utsikt från rummet. Balkongen. Men framförallt det charmiga och fina mottagandet och kontakten under vistelsen. Bastu. Lekmöjlighet för alla. Biljardbord mm. Enkel bar med lite av varje.

Cons:

Hade önskat frukost på hotellet. Frukosten på annat hotell var god men väldigt dyr.

An incredible value compared to the Kaviknes Hotel the street
Pros:

Very helpful and friendly staff. Love the homey and artsy feel of the place. Clean and well updated.

Cons:

It was a bit of a slog up the hill in the rain from the pier, especially with my wife’s bad knee.

Great view, friendly and helpful staff. Fun sauna.
Pros:

The view was awesome. We were lucky that the weather was cool since it kept people from hanging out at the bar out front and making noise which has been a common complaint.

The room was pretty spartan for the price.

Amazing place with a view
Pros:

Location was perfect! The room facing the fjord was great. Good shower. Amazing staff and delicious croissant. The sauna was a great experience. Another plus for the hotel: the art around it!!!! Loved that they change the art frequently , it makes the place even more special

The whole bathroom. Didn’t like shampoo in packets you had to open. The shower with just a plastic shower curtain so the whole bathroom floor is wet and no ventilation. For what we paid I would expect something much better.
