Anjo Maumere Hotel & Restaurant

Wow, wow, wow! We honestly couldn’t recommend this place enough. Josef and his staff are incredible and provided some of the best hospitality we’ve experienced in over a year of travelling. The service was truly exceptional.

We originally booked to stay for 8 nights after a long journey, wanting somewhere peaceful to relax and recharge before starting our Flores adventure. It turned out to be the perfect place, especially as we both ended up getting sick (we think we caught something while travelling). The staff looked after us so well, making us delicious hibiscus and ginger teas, and we genuinely couldn’t have asked for a better place to recover.

The food was also absolutely delicious! We tried nearly everything on the menu and barely left the hotel during our stay. We loved it so much that we even extended our stay for another night!

We would highly recommend renting a scooter and exploring along the coast. It’s incredibly peaceful, with hardly any tourists around, and gives you a chance to experience a quieter side of Flores. Maumere is also easily accessible, and you can even take a bemo, which is an experience in itself!

Josef was unbelievably helpful with planning the rest of our trip around Flores. When our flight was unexpectedly cancelled, we had to fly into Ende instead, and Josef helped arrange a taxi for us from Ende all the way to Anjo. He also assisted us with transport to the next places we stayed after leaving Anjo.

Honestly, Josef deserves every bit of praise for what he has created here.

Wat een heerlijk plekje! Een mooie schone kamer met externe badkamer die ook erg netjes was. De mensen die er werken zijn geweldig en de heerlijke keuken maakt het helemaal af!

Consiglio vivamente questo hotel: pulitissimo, accogliente, curato nei dettagli, ci sono un sacco di fiori bellissimi. Le stanze sono moderne e spaziose, la doccia è calda, lo staff parla perfettamente inglese. Colazione top con molta scelta, succhi freschi, uova, omlette e marmellata homemade! Ma il vero punto forte è la gentilezza e la disponibilità del personale e del General manager, che ci hanno aiutato tantissimo a trovare una soluzione al nostro volo cancellato, dimostrando un' umanità che va' ben al di là delle semplici mansioni lavorative. Grazie di cuore!!!

Tout était parfait ! L’hôtel est très bien décoré, la chambre est très propre et confortable. Le personnel était très accueillant, chaleureux et professionnel.
Le restaurant est aussi très bon.

Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, zuvorkommend und professionell. Auch der Chef ist sehr nett und hat uns Tipps für einen Strandtag gegeben. Die Unterkunft ist wunderschön, sehr gepflegt und in einem erstklassigen Zustand. Das Frühstück war super lecker und auch sehr reichlich. Der Kaffee kam (nicht wie sonst) frisch aus der Maschine. Wir haben auch im hauseigenen Restaurant abends Fisch gegessen - toll!

Sehr hübsches Hotel mit sehr gutem Restaurant und superfreundlichem und hilfsbereiten Personal. Leider hatten wir keine Zeit, um einen Schnorcheltrip mitzumachen.

Wunderschönes Hotel im griechischen Stil mit einer tollen Atmosphäre. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber und gepflegt. Tee und Kaffee liegen im Zimmer bereit, sowie ein Wasserkocher. Besonders die wunderschöne Dachterrasse lädt zum Verweilen ein und bietet den perfekten Ort, um den Tag entspannt ausklingen zu lassen.

Der Besitzer ist ausgesprochen freundlich, herzlich und spricht sehr gutes Englisch, sodass die Kommunikation problemlos funktioniert.

Auch das Essen ist hervorragend – frisch, lecker und zu absolut fairen Preisen. Das gesamte Team, besonders die Damen im Service, ist sehr aufmerksam und fürsorglich, dass man sich rundum wohlfühlt.

Das Einzige, was man beachten sollte: Das Hotel liegt etwas außerhalb. Deshalb empfiehlt es sich, direkt bei der Anreise einen Roller zu mieten, da das Hotel keine vermietet. So bleibt man flexibel und kann die Umgebung problemlos erkunden.

Insgesamt ein wunderbarer Ort zum Entspannen. Ich würde jederzeit wiederkommen und kann das Hotel uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.

Tout était parfait ! La chambre est jolie, la literie est confortable, la douche est séparée des toilettes et le jardin est splendide. Le petit déjeuner est excellent et très copieux. Mention spéciale pour le personnel adorable et très compétent, toujours aux petits soins, en particulier Elin et Dini qui sont exceptionnelles. L’emplacement de l’hôtel en dehors de Maumere nécessite de louer un scooter (possible via l’hôtel). Ça nous a permis d’explorer la côte ouest complètement hors des sentiers battus ! En bref, on a adoré séjourner ici.

Hôtel très chaleureux et propre. Super accueil avec une boisson offerte. Lit confortable, douche chaude avec shampooing et gel douche. Et bonus un déjeuner avec des pancakes et de la confiture délicieux.

The place was clean and tidy, not much to see in Maumere for the time that I had.

Unser Aufenthalt im Hotel Anjo in Maumere war einfach perfekt.

Schon bei der Ankunft wurden wir unglaublich herzlich empfangen und haben uns sofort wohlgefühlt. Das gesamte Team ist außergewöhnlich freundlich, aufmerksam und hilfsbereit, ohne dabei aufdringlich zu sein.

Besonders beeindruckt hat uns die ruhige Atmosphäre im mediterranen Stil – ideal, um komplett zu entspannen.

Wir aßen beide Abende und teilweise mittags im Hotel. Das Essen war hervorragend – frisch, lecker und mit viel Sorgfalt zubereitet. Jeder Wunsch wurde erfüllt, und wir haben uns rundum gut versorgt gefühlt. Der Americano morgens zum Frühstück hat mich direkt glücklich gemacht, ein richtiger Americano und kein Aufguss Kaffee :-)

Was diesen Aufenthalt aber wirklich besonders macht, ist die persönliche Note: Man fühlt sich nicht wie ein Gast, sondern wie ein Teil der Familie. Alles wird hier mit Liebe zubereitet und man spürt das Herzblut und die Hingabe, insbesondere von Manager Joseph.

Wir können das Hotel Anjo zu 100 % weiterempfehlen und würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

Its a Greek Mediterranean style hotel extremely beautiful, the staaf is mazing and extremely helpful,

Definitely one of the top 3 places I stayed at in Indonesia.
The hotel is beautiful, the terrace is super charming, the food is excellent, the staff incredibly friendly, and the owner is always around and went out of his way to help us organize taxis and activities.

It's the perfect place if you're looking for something like "family vibe" but still very high quality.

Long story short: if you're in Maumere, don't miss it!
