Pros:

Great value hotel. Rooms basic but clean. Food and drink very well priced, nice conservatory and outside sitting areas. Good parking.
One of our group fell off his motorbike in the car park and cut his leg badly.
Trevor from reception/bar went the extra mile and gave him a lift to a nearby hospital. Great service, and thanks again.

Good value place! Nice staff and has everything you need. Would happily return.
Pros:

Genuine, honest and friendly staff, great location, lots of rooms and everything worked. Can park right outside your room. Nice place for accessing the Forest of Dean.

Cons:

Main room light glowed a bit green when turned off, though this is no doubt a fire security measure. Curtains a bit thin, but no great problem. Food OK.

Very handy to explore the area good value for the money
Pros:

Breakfast was very good, staff would make scramble eggs instead of fried if asked the room was small but clean and we weren’t in it much

Cons:

Information in room said that bar would be open until late for guests, but returning back shortly before 11pm on Saturday night, having been out all afternoon, we were told the bar was shut. Had to negotiate with the bar manager to be able to order one drink before he closed up completely. Not what you would expect after a tiring day and very disappointing - hotel needs to review policy or update information provided to guests.

Location worked out perfectly. Staff were friendly and helpful. Accommodation was clean, comfortable bed, nice hot and powerful shower. Breakfast was lovely. Grounds are tidy and well maintained.
