Authentiek hotel in het oude en bezienswaardige stadje Zellenberg.
Pros:

Moeilijk te bereiken locatie in oude stad. Auto ver weg parkeren.
Aardig oud echtpaar dat dit authentieke maar niet moderne hotel runt.

Wir waren schon mehrfach dort, es ist ein Haus ohne schikimicki oder blingbling : echt und urig.
Das Gastgeberehepaar ist sehr nett und immer bemüht, seinen Gästen alle Wünsche zu erfüllen.
Auch schätzen wir die angebotene Elsässer Küche.
Bad, Klimaanlage, auf Wunsch Balkon und sehr ruhiges Ambiente.
Für Liebhaber des alten Elsass eine gute Adresse.

Good experience
Pros:

It’s a charming old style hotel with a restaurant too. The room was large and comfy with good AC, a fridge with bar and a nice big desk and we had a balcony to sit out on with lovely views. The owners were very friendly and chatty with us and made us feel at home. The place may seem dated but the old-fashioned hospitality was what makes it special. Good location in a typical village which is very central for exploring the region of historic medieval towns. The breakfast was good too, served at the table. We would repeat.

Cons:

Some things and appliances seem neglected and not working well but not a big issue.

Wir gehen immer wieder gerne ins Elsass allerdings war es das erste Mal mit 35 Grad

Cons:

Alte Fachwerkhäuser haben ihren besonderen Flair sehr schöne Holzbalken und Deko .Die Teppichböden passen zwar allerdings mag ich persönlich lieber Holzböden.

Exquisitely traditional, cute, tasteful. You'll feel like a medieval traveler with modern comforts.
Pros:

Breakfast and dinner both excellent. The proprietor built the restaurant 50 years ago with his own hands out of an old barn, using aged beams scrounged from old churches, etc. Tastefully done, it resembles a medieval tavern. He and his wife are good cooks and cook tasty traditional Alsatian dishes. They have an impressive wine and spirits list; if you wish you can spend three and even four figures. He has a collection of Armagnac going back to 1893, each bottle marking a birth in the family. Excellent home-made jams for breakfast, along with several cheeses and hams, tea and coffee, bread and croissant. Also most welcome was the in-room air conditioner. Bed, pillows, bath, all comfortable.

Cons:

I'd prefer beds with comforters rather than the traditional sheets and blankets.

Pas de changement de serviettes ! Bien que resté 3 jours !!!
Repas trés chers pour la qualite et puis il faut étre à 18h45 et derniére commande à 19h30 !!!
Quand on est en vacances on a le temps!
Il est temps que les proprios prennent leur retraite

Charmantes altes Hotel etwas abseits des Trubels
Pros:

Ein charmantes kleines Hotel in zwei alten Fachwerkhäusern etwas abseits des Trubels - aber nur etwas: Ribeauville ist mit dem Auto in 5 Minuten erreichbar. Die Lage ist sehr ruhig. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist ausgezeichnet.
Das Hotel wird von den netten und hilfsbereiten Eigentümern selbst geführt, da diese allerdings hoch in den Siebzigern sind, wohl nicht mehr lange.

Cons:

Das Restaurant bietet nur noch drei Menus an, alle drei für die Hardcore-Elsass-Fraktion (Kalbsnieren, "Baeckeoffe" und Kartoffeln mit weißem Käse, Munsterkäse und Speckwürfeln). In dem kleinen Ort (und damit in fußläufiger Entfernung) gibt es nur noch zwei andere Restaurants, von denen ich das "Au Riesling" empfehlen kann (wenngleich für meinen Geschmack etwas zu experimentell unterwegs).
Die alten Fachwerkhäuser haben ihren Charme, praktisch aber auch ein paar Nachteile: Wirklich große Gäste müssen an verschiedenen Stellen auf ihren Kopf aufpassen, bei mir (1,87 m) ging es überall gerade noch so. Die Fenster sind nicht sehr groß, meines ging überdies auf die enge Gasse, so dass es nur morgens ausreichend Tageslicht gab (die künstliche Beleuchtung ist allerdings ausgezeichnet).
Mit ein paar Unbequemlichkeiten sollte man sich arrangieren können. Beispielsweise ließ sich die Tür zum Schrank wegen des Bettes nicht ganz öffnen, was das Ein- und Ausräumen erschwert. Auch gibt es bei dem Bett nur wenig Ablagefläche.

Es war alles so unkompliziert und einfach wie wir es mögen. Wer Luxus mag ist falsch am Platz aber wir lieben solche Unterkünfte. Waren mit dem Rad unterwegs, konnten in einer Garage die Fahrräder abstellen und meins laden. Baekeofe die Spezialität des Chefs war ein Gedicht
