Quirky comfortable room
Pros:

Lovely room, beautifully decorated, quirky layout due to it being an old building. Staff were lovely. Very quiet, despite being over a pub, couldn’t hear anything from downstairs. We ate there in the evening & food was lovely.

Adequate for one night stay
Pros:

Good location near station, easy to get to Stansted.

Cons:

No window in room, not cleaned or maintained well, scuffs and stains on walls and dirty carpet. Signs of leak/damp fix in bathroom. Hair on shower tray, shower probably showered but not cleaned properly. Sink si high that at 168 I had to reach up and over to be able to wash face and teeth. As room didn’t impress with cleanliness, didn’t dare to try food.

It was awesome!
Pros:

I love the staff and the owner Paige was really cool. Hoping to stay again soon.

Cons:

The shower was small. I know it was the smallness on the room. It's also customary to have no Air conditioning, so it was a challenge for me being from Florida. I would choose a different room next time! Paige was awesome and very accommodating! Love her to pieces!

Perfect location for my stay before heading off to Stansted Airport and an excellent room as a bonus. Will always use in the future for any pre-airport stays.

Filthy place, needs a good clean. Breakfast far too late so didn't get chance to eat .

Great place to stay
Pros:

I really liked the location, comfort and friendly staff. Proximity to the railway station was great for airport access too. There was a very effective fan in the room for a hot day and some great pubs cafes and coffee shops nearby.

Cons:

The shower was a bit glitchy.

Pros:

We had a nicely decorated room with was a decent size,. The bed was quite comfortable.

Cons:

There were cobwebs allover the place, the toilet bowl was dirty, the bathroom floor was dirty, so was the mini fridge.
Initially the water in the shower was scalding hot and it was stuck at that temperature. It took a lot of time and force to turn the temperature down.
The location is handy for the train station, but it is a bit noisy because of the road.
