Maybe just the walk to the beach (ca 1 km to the Riu Palace and then 1.5 km through the dunes), but that's not really something that bothered us too much. You can always help yourself with a short car/taxi ride. Or walk. :D

Nothing not to like, suggest putting in a jacuzzi to compliment the stunning pool.

The resort was far quieter than I expected. It lacked a holiday atmosphere and felt almost oppressively quiet and in isolation from its surroundings at times. The staff although they do engage with guests, from my own personal experience it seems they only do so out of necessity rather than out of any real interest in guests. This could merely be a personality (both ways of course) or training issue but needs to be considered going forward as at times interaction with staff can be awkward and being comfortable with staff and having a feeling of being a valued guest is the most important part of a stay in any resort/hotel . The resort is very pleasant but it is not 5 star....it is at best 4 star. The condition and fixtures of the room at minimum would need to be improved as they are a bit rough in places....e.g. the rug is a bit old and worn looking, some of the wood is chipped and worn looking. Much more attention to detail needs to be considered...e.g. the tap in the bathroom sink is completely impractical. This is all personal experience of course...what I will say is only stay here if you want complete quiet (I mean in the interaction sense....the road outside the resort can be v busy and loud at times) want time to yourself to relax or to relax with your other but don't expect that you will get any high level of service or friendliness as from my experience you won't. The resort is fine but needs to reconsider how to.improve the overall guest experience.

At this price point I did expect a bit more than just flawless design and friendly staff.
- pool heating was broken and I was informed the first day about it however afterwards no more communication. Pool was eventually fixed after 4 days.
- breakfast only starts at 9am. It’s brought in from a caterer and it’s good quality however: no fresh eggs, no barista coffee.
- no staff at the property after 4pm so check in is all digital if you arrive late.

The room design was stylish, certain elements were not practical - in the bathroom, a pipe from the ceiling directly down into the basin meant you could not easily put your head / face over the basin. The black bathroom furnishings showed every water drip and so almost always looked dirty. The hot water was sometimes unreliable, particularly the shower. The roof terrace, while a lovely idea had only a day bed with pillows - we used it to stand and have a drink looking at the lovely view each evening - but no one else used theirs the entire time we were there (10 days). The pool area was lovely - the pool very stylish - but it was freezing, despite being advertised as heated - no one used it except for the briefest plunge, presumably for fear of frost bite. The vibe in the resort was really quiet - we are by no means party animals, but it was difficult even getting a smile out many of the other guests - it felt to us that the resort seems to welcome a certain clique of guys - something we haven’t felt at other men-only resorts in GC. Overall we felt the cost was expensive for what was provided. We might stay here again if we were with friends and felt more comfortable.
