Relaxing and very comfortable stay.
Pros:

We booked based on the beautiful beer garden as the weather was glorious. Our room (Crag) was a good size and the bed was extremely comfy. Food was exceptionally tasty and the staff were very attentive and friendly.

Cons:

While it wouldn’t put me off returning, There was no TV. This is first pub I’ve stayed in where there’s no TV. As the England final was the night before our stay, my husband wasn’t too disappointedly.

While we found overall pricing of food pretty fair, We felt £15 for a 250ml glass of Merlot a little eye watering.

Expensive stay.
Pros:

Prime location, comfortable room, staff really nice.

Cons:

Came for a 1 night stay, £186 the price was double because of the races, which I understand, but disappointed as didn't include any breakfast. First time staying in a room with no TV, not that it bothered us but nice to have a choice. The worst thing ever, no little toiletries in the bathroom, not even a hand wash for after using toilet. Come on Royal Oak surely a simple hand wash doesn't cost that much. Was a nice stay but for what we paid, sorry wouldn't stay again.

Une halte pittoresque !!
Pros:

Great location; comfortable bed. All we needed for a one night stay. Self check in and self check out so no interaction
Pros:

Location. Bed was very comfortable

Cons:

Room has very small window so air flow when warm is not amazing. Also a nearby rooster will give you a good wake up call.

Fabulous place! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Pros:

I had a beautiful room ("Beck") in a beautiful old building with period features and bags of charm. My bed was very comfortable. My shower room was immaculate, with an easily operated shower & nice fluffy towels. I had lots of hot drink options. Two really comfortable chairs, plus a desk for my diary catch-up (always a bonus)
No breakfast, but I did have dinner downstairs... great menu, quality local produce, impeccable service, one of the best dinners I've had in recent years. I can't recommend this place highly enough!

Cons:

Absolutely nothing to dislike!

Lovely old building in perfect location.
Pros:

Beautiful room, immaculate bathroom, comfy bed. Staff very friendly and food in the pub excellent.

Cons:

Only slight issue was the outside door which was slammed when people came in and out. Apart from that it was perfect.
