Great location, lovely village and good selection of restautants and pubs.
Nothing i did not like.
We didn’t even get to stay the Royal Oak didn’t answer our calls or messages to confirm our stay so we had to cancel, we call them for 3 days before our check in and there was no answer, so unprofessional so bad not happy

Really lovely room, spotlessly clean and great “open fire” pub atmosphere downstairs, right in the centre of Cartmel.

Loved the ambience of the pub with the lovely large garden and a beck running alongside it. The owners and staff were welcoming and helpful. The menu, food and service were great and included home made desserts, cheeses and drinks. The ensuite rooms were clean and comfortable. It was a lovely, relaxing stay.

The food was excellent
It was cold, the bathroom radiator didn't work and it was freezing.
There was no cord on the window blind and anyone in the hotel opposite could easily see in.
I upgraded to this room as it was an anniversary celebration, wasted my money.
We could draw the curtains but the blind could be pulled half way for privacy and a bit of day light.
Friendly, welcoming staff. Great room, spotlessly clean and excellent location.
