The rooftop IS ONLY available to access if no other guest is booked. If there is no barricade across the stairwell then you can go up there to access it.

Lovely stay in historic suburb
Pros:

The staff were super friendly and helpful, even offering to drop us down at the ferry terminal as parking there was limited. The room was spacious and comfortable with extra blankets and a heater to keep us warm. The parking lot behind the building was a lifesaver given all the limited/timed parking in the area. We loved walking around the historic Battery Point suburb and reading the plaques on the houses to see what they used to be. It was easy to walk down to Salamanca place to explore the markets and restaurants there. The host was communicative and welcoming, and we felt very taken care of.
