Disappointing. Won’t come back for a third time.
Pros:

Check in was quick and staff friendly. We had a great experience a couple of years ago and came back for that but the whole experience from the restaurant, bar and room were completely different and frankly disappointing given our previous trip and expectations.

Cons:

Bar and wait staff were preoccupied. We had to sit and wait for at least 10 minutes for eye contact at the bar. And then another 10 for a drink. Service at the restaurant was substandard as it seemed as though most of the staff were trainees and had no idea what was going on.

A fantastic place to stay and dine in Armidale.
Pros:

We had a wonderful stay at Tattersalls Hotel. The room was exceptionally quiet and comfortable, with thoughtful and tasteful, high-quality furnishings throughout. We loved the beautiful Art Deco style of the hotel, which gives it so much character. The bathroom was spacious with quality products. We also loved the restaurant, having lunch and dinner there. The staff were excellent, very professional and polite. Our daughter particularly appreciated the activity pack and quality children's meal.

The hotel made the trip pleasurable after heavy rains
Pros:

Location was right in the middle of Armidale CBD. Everything was accessible. We had dinner at the hotel and the food was first class. There was a mixup with the bill where some of our charges made it to the table next to us. But it was resolved quickly and without fuss

Nice accommodation, dead town.
Pros:

Good location. Beautifully renovated.

Cons:

Stayed on a Sunday. The entire hotel was shut including the bar. Most restaurants were closed. The town felt dead. We did find somewhere for drinks & dinner but the options were VERY limited. For a town that used to feel thriving, Armidale on a Sunday was very disappointing.

Quiet, comfy winter weekend stay, friendly staff and an excellent restaurant with an a la carte menu
Pros:

The location is very central and so quiet, beds are great and the bathrooms are spacious, was a lovely stay. The staff also excellent and very helpful.

Cons:

Only issue was parking as the small carpark was busy, but we managed to get a park each day with our smaller car
