Loved the room and the gardens and surrounding areas to explore
The buffet breakfast was average and the staff were ok, not super welcoming
Location and quality of service
Nothing
Location, location, location - beautiful ground, clean, comfortable rooms friendly staff.
The grounds are kept immaculate, staff are amazing
When paying over $800 a night to stay at the hotel, I expect that I will be sleeping not listening to guest carrying on in the corridors because they are drunk. As their wedding was at the mansion I would have expected staff to assist them back to their room to avoid disturbing other guests
We were looking for somewhere not too far from the airport but heading south. The hotel offered something a bit different!
Unfortunately as we arrived late in the evening and needed to get underway the next day at a reasonable time we were unable to do a mansion tour as it did not open til 10am.
The bed was comfortable, and the pillows were nice.
All staff were lovely and efficient with their service.
The grounds are lovely, and we were able to visit the spa, the rose garden, and the mansion. We also walked down to Werribee Zoo.
The room service menu was outrageously expensive with very little to choose from. We ordered a cheese board, and while it was delicious, it probably wasn’t worth the expense.
Breakfast was offered in Joseph’s Café. It was understaffed most of the time. The coffee machine produces terrible coffee, and asking for a barista coffee to be made was virtually impossible due to the lack of staff. There were very few hot food choices, just eggs, bacon, sausages, hash browns, and mushrooms. However, if you arrived at a time when they had replenished all the food, there were also options of fruit, yogurts, cereals, and pastries. We ended up driving to nearby Werribee to get coffees one morning and wished we had stayed there for breakfast.
We ate at Joseph’s Restaurant for lunch one day however, the sheer expense and lack of variety had us visiting local restaurants outside of the mansion grounds for dinner during the rest of our stay.
Absolutely amazing time stuff friendly people professional
There was nothing to complain
The staff were very friendly and the beds are super comfy!!
The room I stayed in was quite dated, the furniture was very worn and the bathroom had stains and was not very clean. It also smelled like urine. I had pre-requested extra pillows because my son was sleeping in the bed with me which were not provided, so I to ask for them again. The bath plug did not fit the bath so I had to request a replacement bath plug to be able to bath my son. Some guests had a party at about 1130 at night. I believe in the swimming area which woke us up and I had to ring to get assistance to try and shut the noise down. I also received an email the morning that we were checking in thanking me for my stay and preparing me for departure which caused confusion and uncertainty.
Location was excellent. Pool complex excellent. Breakfast excellent. Dining experience excellent.
Shower over the bath unsuitable for retirees. This was not indicated when booking. Mattresses a bit soft. (Surprised at the poor quality of art at entry to dining area for such a prestigeous building).
Stunning property! Fabulous history!
I liked it all
Labels left on new toilet pans. Not a good look for this class of hotel.
The room was comfortable.
The breakfast hot food was not very hot and on the first day seriously needed replenishing.
