The rooms were clean and exceptional.
A super shout out to Apple for coming through for me and made my check in smooth and quick
The Indian staff was very unprofessional, kept me waiting for 3hrs and attended to people coming after me.she barely even looked at my booking.
Such an amazing environment, easy access to get anything you want at anytime. The staffs are exceptional, very neat rooms, and many others.
In fact, it was my first time but I feel more comfortable than home, but unfortunately it was just a short stay. I will love to visit again and again.
Nothing to dislike about Citymax Al Barsha Hotel but rather, my recommendation for anyone who is willing to visit.
Just the location
I had already checked in, but my partner accidentally brought the wrong ID. We approached the front desk for assistance, and while I understand that policies must be followed, the way the situation was handled was disappointing.
The front desk attendant immediately said she couldn’t do anything, but what stood out was the lack of empathy and professionalism. There was no effort to explain the situation politely or offer any guidance on possible alternatives. Her attitude made us feel unwelcome rather than supported.
Hospitality is not only about enforcing rules. it’s also about treating guests with respect and courtesy. Unfortunately, that was missing from this interaction. I understand that rules are rules, but hospitality clearly wasn’t part of the package. When my partner accidentally brought the wrong ID, the front desk attendant’s response was not only unhelpful but also unpleasant. The moment she said she couldn’t do anything, her attitude changed completely.
It’s interesting how a hotel can focus so much on policies and so little on basic courtesy. If making guests feel unwelcome is the standard of service, then congratulations—you’ve mastered it.
Apparently, hospitality ends where customer service begins. The front desk attendant made it very clear that she couldn’t help, but she also made it clear that she didn’t care. A little kindness costs nothing, yet it seemed to be unavailable that day.
