Pros:

The house and building were lovely looking

Cons:

No staff on site- tricky checking in, main door open and strangers wondering around the building- even overnight can hear them, laundry tricky to access and limited access, kitchen a shared space and not near rooms-

Good for a few nights, not recommended for long stays

Pros:

Privacy, the antique style of the room, large bathroom, spacious storage. Nice to have tea and coffee facilities, and the shared kitchen area is a great space to be able to feed and sort yourself out for food. How kind Andrew was when I was locked out of my room with the wrong key.

Cons:

TV set up. Poor wifi signal, bathrooms need a deep clean ( but they are not too bad).
Confusion with room keys and front door entrance keys need to be labelled more appropriately.

Clean, well maintained and conveniently located rooms for sydney olympic park or sydney cbd.
Pros:

Beautiful building converted into individual rooms. Retained historical features. Room was large, clean and comfortable with ensuite and included basic amenities (tv, fridge, kettle, tea/coffee, heater, tissues). Free on street parking. On site staff support friendly and available. Great location for Sydney Olympic Park and good local shops, cafes and train station within walking distance.

Cons:

Nothing springs to mind

Disappointed
Pros:

Large room

Cons:

I had the worst experience with both booking.com and the hotel. Apparently when you arrive, you have to call someone. That person did not answer my several calls and messages. I got voice message. I tried calling the customer number for booking.com in Australia and overseas but was unsuccessful. At 9.30 pm i got a missed call from the person managing the property. When i tried calling him back, i again got put on voice messaging. Its a stupid system they have for check in process. I dont recommend the place unless they have someone permanent at reception. I did manage to call through to the guy the next day. He apologised then hung up with no care about listening to what happened to me. He didnt want to to listen to me.

Pros:

This hotel has many good features that will make your stay feel very comfortable. The house is clean and very quiet and the beds are not only massive but also very cosy. It is an easy five minute walk from homebush station, and a further 15 minute walk to strathfield station, making the location very convenient. It is really good value for money and it provides a pleasant place to stay on a Sydney trip.

Cons:

Some things I found interesting were how it's run in terms of check in. There is no front desk and the owner is hardly ever there, so to check in, you must call him and he'll direct you to a common room with many envelopes and he'll then tell you which one is yours. The process isn't necessarily bad, just different to how other hotels do it. Me and my partner chose a room with a shared bathroom. This went well, we were lucky enough we never had to wait for it to be free and our room was right next to it. However, this may not be the same as others experiences. This hotel is quaint and homely and the rooms are large and comfortable.
