Pros:

This hotel has many good features that will make your stay feel very comfortable. The house is clean and very quiet and the beds are not only massive but also very cosy. It is an easy five minute walk from homebush station, and a further 15 minute walk to strathfield station, making the location very convenient. It is really good value for money and it provides a pleasant place to stay on a Sydney trip.

Cons:

Some things I found interesting were how it's run in terms of check in. There is no front desk and the owner is hardly ever there, so to check in, you must call him and he'll direct you to a common room with many envelopes and he'll then tell you which one is yours. The process isn't necessarily bad, just different to how other hotels do it. Me and my partner chose a room with a shared bathroom. This went well, we were lucky enough we never had to wait for it to be free and our room was right next to it. However, this may not be the same as others experiences. This hotel is quaint and homely and the rooms are large and comfortable.

Pros:

We love staying at Darcy's when we visit Sydney. Its a beautiful, small hotel full of character in quiet leafy grounds with free parking. Its a good location for accessing the city or Sydney Olympic Park by public transport.

Cons:

It can be tricky without staff onsite. We had a room with no bathroom by choice. We accidently locked ourselves out after midnight with no phone. Managed to sort it out in the end.

Budget friendly and good location
Pros:

Location, Room size and comfy bed. Train station and cafes are really close. Some really good food options are around there too.

Cons:

There was a Gnarly/ mouldy smell in the room on the first few days which made our stay a bit uncomfortable. The housekeeper did give us a room freshener that would keep the smell away for a while. It did help a bit. I have stayed here before and its the 1st time I've experienced this.

A really easy place to access with clean facilities
Pros:

Location great. Ten minute walk to Strathfield railway station which provides greater access to trains than the closer Homebush station. Leafy streets. While I did not use the kitchen, it is spacious and has good facilities. The lounge is a beautiful area to wait and relax

Convenient, comfortable stay.
Pros:

Large room, comfy bed in older style building. Well priced. Free car parking. Nice leafy suburb. Convenient $30 Uber trip to the city.

Cons:

Being an older building floors creaked and walls very thin. Woken early by people leaving at 5.30am.
