Check in process was easy and friendly. The room was modern and the beds are very comfortable.
The room was a bit dusty. The mugs and kettle needed a clean before we used them and the milk in the fridge was out of date.
The location of this motel was great.
When arriving, we thought it was a nice room. To find out that there was no TV remote and hair dryer. I understand these things get taken from rooms, so was not too upset. Messaged manager said it would be replaced in the morning. No trouble. The next night, I had a function, still no dryer or TV remote, called and told too bad, so sad. So nothing was replaced. The bathroom was also very dirty.
Location
We were given an internal room with no window or fire escape. Dark and damp. To get a room with some form of natural light we had to pay an extra $108 on top of full price. Highway robbery. Should have been informed in advance.
Very very good, great town, excellent room, brilliant value for money
Slightly dusty but 9/10
Great location
Peaceful and quiet. We booked because Exchange Hotel was full, and being a Saturday the Exchange Hotel was noisy so we were glad of the quiet at Peddlars Rest. Lovely to have the little en suite bathroom. Thoughtful to have the lock up bike room. Bedside lights both sides of the bed was good. Clothes hanging space was good too.
The shower soaks the whole bathroom so we had to dry it or wear shoes to use the sink, all evening & morning. For breakfast there was only sliced white bread and no cereal. The glasses in our room (fridge) didn’t seek washed - they had a stick sweet substance around the rim. Also no window in our room so no fresh air, and the air conditioner was a little smelly.
On the main street. Very quiet, clean.
Nothing
Location, affordability, modern, coffee machine.
No window, no bathroom door, thin walls, musty smell, Breakfast was a loaf of bread in the kitchen
Perfect place for an overnight stay if you are cycling the rail trail. Everything you need if you arrive just with back pack on your back! Comfy beds and bonus breakfast options in the shared kitchen as well as a dedicated room to store your bikes. On main street to close to everything and fairly quite. Had a great meal at the Exchange hotel down the road also owned by them.
No windows in the rooms which some people may not like but we felt was fine for one night. We were in room 2 and there was a bit of noise throughout the night we think from the refrigerators on the others side of the wall (bottle shop next door) so take ear plugs! The front door of the whole place at the street was hard to open and close so noisy when we left early.
Close to rail trail and large shared kitchen and dinning area.
It was close to everything that we wanted, rail trail, bottle shop, pub. It was clean and modern, lovely ensuite. The check in was easy, there was a nice common room to sit, eat or have a cuppa. Facilities for bike storage was great.
When first entering the room it had a stale smell from lack of air circulation. Maybe have the aircon a bit before people arrive. We didn’t realise there was no window so there was no natural light.
