Pros:

The location is fantastic, right in town, walk to everything, shops, restaurants and only a short commute to the northern rivers rail trail.
The rooms are lovely they have had a great renovation done.

Cons:

The room was noisy, even during the week when we stayed. Ear plugs were provided so it's obviously a thing they're aware of.

Great location, friendly, affordable, clean, loads of meal options, earplugs provided, recommended.
Pros:

Central to everything. Walking distance. On site parking. Plenty of food options close by. Great bathroom, tv, stocked drinks in fridge. Clean.

Cons:

Look, it’s upstairs from a pub. It’s noisy. Weekends probably noisier with live music etc. Groups of other travellers also noisy in the accomm area upstairs. But they provide earplugs for this reason. And I also found that turning my fan on to highest setting was a decent white noise to drown down outside noises. It was okay. Room itself is small but adequate for a single person and bathroom is huge and clean.

A pleasant evening
Pros:

Location is perfect.

Cons:

We stayed in the middle of the hotel. Big room but no windows. A bit stuffy but the fan was good. And there was no sound to keep us awake.

Great hotel, town and people.
Pros:

High quality renovation of this historic hotel. Staff and food excellent. Stunning sub-tropical rain forest nearby which I loved exploring for a few days. Highly recommended hotel!

Don't book a balcony room!
Pros:

Decor was modern and updated for an older styled pub...location great, close to good restaurants

Cons:

Our room wasn't serviced..no apologies
Ordered a caesar salad,.worst ever, lettuce was just the white ends, bacon sprinkle, not bacon, no cheese, no croutons all floating in sauce, oh I did get 3 white anchovies
Room with balcony are subjected to the kitchen exhaust fan running from 9am to 9pm and it's very noisy, no air-conditioning working so have to have door open for air flow.
Waiting half an hour for hot water, water pressure dismal.
Balcony rooms not worth the extra.

Great location and staff. Rooms are very clean.
Pros:

Location is great, right above the pub. Centrally located. Very clean. Staff were amazing.

Cons:

Don't love that the shower is one big wet room, bit of a slip hazard. The bed was really hard could use a topper.
