Our room overlooked the ocean and we actually watched whales from our balcony. We had binoculars which made it even better. Our room was very comfortable and the location great for us. Not too busy, but enough going on. The surf club over the road for meals and drinks, the foreshore swimming pool and the lovely foreshore walk. Plenty of other things a short drive away. Our second visit we like it so much.
A better pool would be wonderful! Can't think of anything else.
Perfect position
The pros: clean, comfortable bed, nice view, a very generous surprise hamper, undercover parking, close to food and lovely walks.
The cons: a lot of construction nearby, this was at times quite noisy and Kings beach itself is undergoing major works (not the fault of the hotel of course, but we wish we’d known) the room is a bit outdated and we didn’t personally like the shower over the big triangle spa bath (although some might) as it’s slippery and uneven to stand in, the pool area will be nice when the upgrade happens soon.
Location
Our room view was obscured
Good view we had good weather
Welcome pack was good
View and amenities
The location was fabulous, and the view to beach awesome Michaela, the front desk staff member was lovely and helpful and knowledgeable. Also the amazing "welcome pack" was more than just a bottle of wine.
A sign in the lift indicated the pool/spa would be under maintenance in August 2026. It was not done and looked rather shabby and paint peeling around the edges of pool and spa. The umbrella's need replacing. I booked a studio with Air Cond. (per your website) I was not told we would be sharing this with a 1-bedroom apartment. Therefore, one night we had it on cool & it was turned off by other apartment, so I had no sleep as we had the door closed and I sweated then opened the sliding door to hear traffic and trucks all night. Also, tissues in the room would be good.
We enjoyed the quiet location and all facilities.
The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The hamper in our room was a nice surprise.
Everything was good. Nothing to complain about.
I luv the location, staff and the view
Pool area needs updating
The bed was comfortable for me but not my husband.
The louvre doors on the bedroom mean that you are actually in the same room as the living room. It doesn't block any noise. There is no clear reason why there is a frosted glass window from the bedroom to the ensuite bathroom, which means that if someone uses the bathroom at night the light shines in. There is also a frosted glass window from the bedroom to the living room, where there are glass bricks with no covering, hence the light shines through into the bedroom early in the morning. We stayed for 3 days but supplies were limited. The unit is very small and we would have expected more for the price we paid
Loved the location right across from the beach. Also, the welcome hamper was a lovely touch. Front office staff were also very friendly and helpful.
Only thing missing is usb or usbc ports to charge our phones and devices. We brought our charge cables, but didn’t have adaptors with us so made a quick trip to Kmart to buy one.
location was perfect to walk everywhere, close to clubs, hotels, restaurants, beach, cafes
noisy fridge
