Please note:

- In winter, Alpinhotel Bort is only reachable by cable car. The last cable car leaves at 15:45. Public parking is available in the valley, and charges may apply.

- In summer, Alpinhotel Bort can be accessed by car, preferably with a four-wheel drive, via a narrow mountain road.

- Pets are allowed only in the rooms.

- WiFi is available free of charge for one device per room.

-Private parking is available on site (the parking fee is CHF 10 per car/night).

Pros:

Stunning location, friendly staff, fantastic breakfast and a comfortable, spacious room for a family of four!

Fantastic hotel with breathtaking views
Pros:

Everything is perfect. The room is great! Heaters for the towels. In the cuadruple room there is a super cool bunk bed for the kids. The view is amazing. The food in the restaurante is great too!

Cons:

Waiting for the people in reception to be available. They are running the restaurante and hotel all together so sometimes you have to wait.

Wunderbare Tage in Grindelwald mit einer spektakulären Aussicht auf den Eiger!
Pros:

Die Aussicht aus dem Zimmer / Terrasse auf den Eiger ist spektakulär. Das Frühstück war sehr gut und reichhaltig. Alle Mitarbeiter waren immer sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir haben uns immer sehr wertgeschätzt gefühlt. Die Lage direkt neben der Grindelwald Firstbahn ist perfekt! Für unsere Reise war es der ideale Ausgangspunkt.

Great location and good value
Pros:

The hotel is in a truly beautiful location, you simply couldn’t ask for a better view of the mountains or easier access to the cable car that takes you directly to First. Parking is included with the accommodation, which is a big advantage, but be prepared for a slightly challenging road. The road itself is paved and perfectly fine, and the uphill drive is manageable too. However, there are constantly tourists coming down the road on scooters, and many of them are not very experienced and often refuse to move aside to let you pass. You really need to be careful, but otherwise, it’s not a problem. The accommodation was clean, and the bathroom looked almost brand new. Other than that, it is simply a mountain lodge, which is exactly what you would expect. Breakfast was a little disappointing, you can order eggs, which is nice, but the buffet itself offers a rather limited selection.

Overall, thank you for everything. Our stay was completely trouble-free and met our expectations, especially thanks to the excellent location and good value for Grindelwald.

Pros:

Cenar en la terraza a 1600m con vistas a varios 4000 y al Eiger, . Insuperable. La camarera tuvo unos detalles en el desayuno que valoramos mucho

Cons:

La subida en coche es una carretera estrecha. Nosotros fuimos 4 y optamos por la comodidad del teleférico, pero es un coste a tener en cuenta.

Stunning scenery
Pros:

Utterly stunning location that was so quiet after the cable cars stopped running, and really handy for Grindelwald First.
Fabulous staff who were so friendly.

Cons:

Hate to be another one of those people but the flies were so much worse than I expected.
Cable cars to the hotel are incredibly expensive too.

Unbelievable in all the right ways
Pros:

This was the most memorable stay of my life. The surroundings were surreal and were worth the trip and price. It was so nice to be away from the crowds high above the town in the evening and morning. Sunset was beautiful. Breakfast was great, food great, staff excellent and helpful. My kids enjoyed the mountain carts and we all enjoyed the scooter bikes. It cooled off at night so no AC wasn’t too bad

Great experience! Friendly staff, amazing views, exceptional food. Would recommend.
Pros:

The views! This property is in such an amazing spot to see the mountains. Far better than a hotel in the valley of grindelwald. If you want views and a quiet atmosphere, this is it.

Cons:

The beds were not super comfortable and the wood would creak really easily anytime anyone in my room moved. It made for a very loud night that unfortunately was not as restful as I would have liked.
