Not a relaxing staycation

The location, it’s very close to train station and restaurants

Cons:

This place is on the main road and is surrounded by restaurants, so it is extremely noisy both during the day and at night. There is constant noise from ambulance sirens, passing trams, and people outside, making it very difficult to sleep and relax.

Furthermore, there is no fridge or kettle in the room. The TV is essentially just for display and does not really work.

Pros:

The location is fabulous. The hotel overlooks the Limmat River, just a short walk north of gorgeous Lake Zurich, in Altstadt (old town), specifically Niederdorf. There are eateries adjacent to the hotel and in the block behind, so plenty of choices, including 2 reasonably priced Bierhalles (the local equivalent of an Aussie pub), a bonus in such an expensive city. Also the main train station is just 5 min walk away, basically the quickest and cheapest route from the airport into town.

Cons:

Considering the cost, the room was fairly basic. The bathroom was quite drak - cement walls and ceilings (not a tile!), and some mould on the ceiling.

Heerlijk gewandeld in de omgeving; Zürich is een gezellige stad, maar het hotel viel wat tegen.
Pros:

de locatie, vlakbij het station.

Cons:

in de douche zit van die zwarte schimmel tussen de tegels. We hadden geen tweepersoons bed zoals beloofd. Op onze klacht daarover werd onvriendelijk gereageerd.

Cons:

Unfortunately, considering the price, the level of comfort and cleanliness was not satisfactory. There was visible mould in the bathroom, as well as dust on the shelves. The room was also quite noisy, as the window faced the courtyard and street noise could be clearly heard.
The hotel should improve the standard of cleaning and remove the mould from the bathroom. There was no kettle in the room’s amenities. Overall, I was disappointed with the value for money.

Great staff, very accommodating perfect location for food, trams, trains and walking.
Pros:

Location, location. Right in the hustle and bustle of the old town. There is a room on the 1st floor with a small balcony, great to watch the world go by.

Cons:

Bathroom a bit tired but clean and fully functional.
