Please note that Wengen is car-free and can only be reached by an 11-minute train ride from Lauterbrunnen. Pick-up from Wengen Train Station can be arranged for CHF 10.00. Karaktervol hotel!
Pros:

Karaktervol hotel met een stijlvolle ontvangst. Het hotel is gedateerd, maar dat is juist een plus, het gaat nergens ten kostte van comfort, maar geeft juist een extra beleving. Het ontbijt was prima, het diner was bovengemiddeld goed. Vriendelijk personeel, geven echt een personal touch.

Die Aussicht war toll

Cons:

Wir mussten unseren Zimmerschlüssel selber aus der Ablage nehmen, da die Rezeption selten besetzt war. Wenn jemand da war, bekamen wir auch mal den falschen Schlüssel. Bei der Anreise wurden wir sogar ein Stockwerk zu hoch geschickt.
Heute am Morgen gab es weder Bowls für Müesli, noch Gläser für Saft oder Tassen für Tee. Auf die gekochten Eier habe ich vergeblich gewartet, obwohl da ein Schild stand und gestern waren da auch welche. Insgesamt war alles sehr chaotisch.

A travel to a different time
Pros:

Very nice his looktorical building from the 19.century with a lot of details kept original. Beautiful views, the hotel is well organized and tries to come forward with any wish or need you may have

Cons:

Only bother were the many flies during meal times, but not sure if the staff can do anything about this as you are in the middle of beautiful nature

Lovely hotel with the carefully maintained charm of the old world. I arrived late late in the evening from a multi day hike and was greeted so warmly that I felt like they had been waiting just for me. Would absolutely recommend!

Ich hatte Einzelzimmer, mit breitem Bett. Sehr schöner und sonniger Balkon mit Aussicht auf Jungfrau. Das hatte ich für diesen Preis nicht erwartet.
Das Hotel ist innerhalb von 10 Minuten vom Bahnhof erreichbar.
Der Empfang durch Reception war sehr freundlich. Die Beratung für gute Locations für Nachtessen fand ich hilfreich.

Cons:

Das Türschloss klemmte, und Türe liess sich dadurch schwer schliessen.
