The staff were extremely helpful and nice people. Superb location.

Cons:

We were warned about the stairs to get up to the room. The big bags were left downstairs.

Pros:

Great stay at this romantic hotel on the occasion of a wedding. Nice big and carefully restored rooms. Very friendly staff. Great location in the old part of Zurich. We come again on another occasion. Highly recommended Hotel and Restaurant.

Cons:

Every thing perfect. But attention: it is a nice but old house with no elevator. No problem for us as we are still young :-)

Die Lage war sehr schön, das Lokal und auch das Zimmerwar sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und das Personal betont freundlich und entgegenkommend

Romantic stay in the very center of old Zurich
Pros:

Great Boutique Hotel in the heart of Zurich. Only two rooms and we had both. Nice size. Very friendly staff. Delicious restaurant! Great neighborhood. Romantic setting.

Cons:

All fine. But as this is a very old house, no elevator and narrow stairway. But it is cosy and romantic.

location and the property not good. Hiking in the area was great
Pros:

It was quite and big enough for the family.

Cons:

-it wasn’t ready for check-in at 4pm, we had to come back an hour later. We were tired and ready take a nap.
-the sink in the master bathroom was clogged up, we let the host know but they never fixed it.
-the host said to leave the garbage in the bin outside the property before check out, we did it the morning before checking out, couple of hours later when we were leaving the property the garbage was all over the ground, we think it was Bear. We picked up the garbage and put it back in the bin outside, they need a safer garbage bin.
Location is not easy to get in and out.
-the basement (a bedroom and bathroom) stunk like humidity.

Too many steos
Cons:

Had too lift 2 × 32kg of luggage up 40 stairs. At 63 years old not good.Should have been ed warned this was the case Also another 10 steps to bedroom which you couldn't stand up in.

Awesome location.

Cons:

We were.in a loft room. Nightmare getting bags up there! Should warn on site how steep. Room was a loft so had to stay stooped over to get in and out of bed. Thank goodness they had a portable air con unit in the bedroom otherwise would have been extremely uncomfortable in the heat

Loved staying at Monte Martre. Location and staff excellent. An authentic way to experience Zurich.
Pros:

The location was perfect - right in the heart of the old town. Loved the quirkiness of the apartments - felt very authentic. The French touches in the apartment were fun & interesting, The staff could not have been more helpful. Lovely to have a bar/restaurant under the apartments.

Cons:

Stairs may be an issue for some visitors - we managed OK.
