Sehr empfehlenswertes, angenehmes Haus mit liebenswürdigen Gastgebern
Pros:

Für uns, die wir Ruhe außerordentlich schätzen, war die Lage ideal. Die Nacht im Zimmer nach hinten war traumhaft ruhig.
Die Inhaber sind beide gleichermaßen liebenswürdig, er noch dazu mit trockenem Humor, was wir sehr schätzen.
Das Haus ist sehr liebe- und geschmackvoll eingerichtet, zw. alt und modern. Wir haben uns in dem großen, gut ausgestatteten Zimmer sehr wohl gefühlt. Der Frühstücksraum lässt einen in seiner Farb- und sonstigen Ausstattung in Ruhe im Tag ankommen. Das Frühstück war ausgezeichnet, alles da, aber nicht sinnlos überladen.
Parkplätze kostenlos in Mengen direkt am Haus.
Wir haben Familie in Münster besucht und haben von Innenstadt Münster bis ins Hotel gut 10 Minuten gebraucht. Dafür konnten wir uns dann aber auch ohne den Radau der Großstadt erholen.

Cons:

Einziger Wermuthstropfen: Mückengeschwader wg. der Nähe des Moors. Es gibt Moskitonetze, die übers Bett gehängt werden können, ein solches war in unserem Zimmer aber bis auf den Haken in der Decke nicht vorhanden. Und wenn Mücken einmal im Zimmer sind, dann nützt auch das Moskitonetz wenig, denn man muss es zum rein- und rausschlüpfen ja öffnen. Hier wären Insektenschutzgitter an den Fenster ideal und sehr wünschenswert.

Sehr schönes, großes, gut eingerichtetes Zimmer, sehr gute Betten. Kleine Veranda. Absolut ruhige Lage.
Parkplatz kostenfrei vor der Tür.

Ein Hotel, dass wir schon gerne früher kennengelernt hätten, da wir den Ort schon fünf Jahre regelmäßig besuchen!

Pros:

Alles sehr zufriedenstellend. Freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Zimmer sehr groß; aufgrund der hohen Temperaturen in den Tagen zuvor war es auch sehr warm. Frühstück herausragend gut, Frühstücksraum und Restaurant sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet.

Cons:

Hotel liegt an einer Landstraße, auf der zumindest nachts wenig Verkehr ist. Unser Zimmer zum Garten war daher angenehm ruhig. Ein Mückengitter am Fenster wäre gut ...

Ein sehr gastfreundliches familiengeführtes Hotel mit guter Gastronomie
Pros:

Der familiengeführte Gasthof überzeugt durch überaus freundliche und aufmerksame Gastgeber. Tradition und Neuerungen werden gut kombiniert. Das reichhaltige Frühstück mit sehr frischen Eierspeisen der hauseigenen Hühner ist zu empfehlen, ebenso die Abendgastronomie ( hervorragende Herrencreme). Es stehen ein großer kostenfreier Parkplatz und ein Fahrradpavillon zur Verfügung.

Cons:

Die Zimmer sind nicht klimatisiert, was bei hohen Temperaturen etwas ungemütlich werden könnte.
