Misleading photos on Booking - very unpleasant and delapidated hotel that is well past its prime

I'm afraid I really have nothing nice to say about this hotel...

Cons:

The photos on Booking made it look like a professional, lively hotel with a restaurant and a nice main entrance (in fact, the first photo is of the restaurant). The hotel was nothing like it! The photos are clearly from an earlier period and I can imagine the hotel might have done better in the past, but right now it feels deserted and very, very sad, and not very clean. The restaurant closed in 2024 (that photo should really be removed - it is misleading!), the entrance has moved to a dingy corner around the back of the hotel, and the whole place feels like a ghost business. I arrived by myself and felt so uncomfortable that I left again and went to a different place. I was helped by an old man who led me through a horribly dirty kitchen (where I pressume they prepare breakfast...) to a small office in a corner of the former restaurant (which smelled really badly) to arrange the checkout, all the way farting audibly and apparently either not hearing (he was very deaf) or just not caring. The whole place made me feel unpleasant and dirty. I would absolutely not recommend this place to anyone! I can't believe this is advertised as a 4-star hotel and it is definitely much too expensive for what it really is!

Sehr freundliches Personal und ein gutes Frühstück. Das Beste war der Swimming-Pool, der hat uns bei der Hitze das Leben erleichtert.

Cons:
