No window in our room
The luxury and quiet. The rooms were spacious and well-appointed, and the comfortable beds ensured a good night's sleep. Even the bathrooms exuded class. Their award-winning restaurant truly lived up to its reputation. The food was amazing and we looked forward to an excellent breakfast to start each day. I extended compliments to the chef for serving the best lamb chop I have ever had. Personalised name cards for parking were a nice touch. The staff were warm and attentive, and we felt just at home. A perfect base to unwind after a long day exploring the Peak District.
It was all lovely, great location and parking facilities were excellent. Would definitely stay again.

Absolutely stunning Property
Unfortunately, we chose Monday when the restaurant is closed but you can just see by looking around. It is amazing and the menu looks fantastic.

This is a beautiful place, elegant and tasteful. Exceptionally clean, food is wonderful and the super-king size bed is so comfortable.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Merchants Yard. The breakfast was absolutely incredible. My partner said it was the best breakfast hes ever had out! I absolutely loved our room. The bath was a massive highlight. Theres lots of little touches which was really lovely - lovely toiletries in the bathroom, lots of water available and tea and coffee services. The bed was so comfortable and absolutely huge! It was super clean, quiet and easy to get to. All the staff members were super lovely! We will definitely stay again!
The only thing we didnt like was the lack of air con. However, we went during a heatwave so its an exceptional circumstance. We did have a fan in the room but it wasnt quite enough for the size of the room.
The restaurant and bar were shut for the Easter. The restaurant being shut wasn't an issue but it would have been nice to be able to get a drink in the evening. But overall we were happy, enjoyed our stay and would return
The room was beautiful, well thought out and luxurious. The staff were friendly but not intrusive, and the atmosphere in the restaurant was friendly and inviting. We appreciated the special touches like this toiletries, welcome drink and name on the reserved parking.
It was a beautiful weekend and I missed having a window in the room(there was a skylight). The room would have benefitted from air conditioning, there was a fan provided but it was still very warm...we did visit in the middle of a heatwave though.
Fantastic stay! Beautifully laid out, gorgeous rooms with nice touches (e.g. very kind snacks etc), great restaurant and breakfast, friendly staff. We had a great stay.
