A fabulous stay

Charmantes Hotel in Peebles
Pros:

Sehr freundliches Personal, ein schönes, großes, sauberes Zimmer in einem charmanten, alten Haus mit tollem Ausblick auf die Highstreet.
Auch das Bad war groß, mit vielen Ablagemöglichkeiten.
Das Essen im Restaurant war ausgezeichnet, angefangen von der Suppe bis zum Dessert.
Es gab einen kostenlosen Parkplatz und man war sofort in der Stadt oder am River Tweed zum Spazieren gehen. Es gibt sehr schöne Wander-und auch Fahrradwege in der Gegend.
Wir werden sicher wiederkommen.

Ce n'était qu'une étape. Nous ne sommes pas restés à Peebles. La chambre était grande et la literie à ressort mais bien dormi. Petit déj copieux.

Perfection in Peebles
Pros:

We were allowed to check in early and safe parking in the yard was provided for our motorcycles.
The bar serves proper local ale and in the morning the Scottish breakfast served was excellent.

The high street was only a few steps from our room, perfection in Peebles.

Good choice for an overnight stay when travelling through Peebles. I would return.
Pros:

Location. Private parking. À la carte breakfast cooked to order. Helpful and friendly staff. Comfortable bedroom and shower. Quiet. Good tea and coffee facilities in room.

Friendly staff, nice cooked breakfast and located on the main road close to town centre shops etc.

Cons:

We were right at the top of the hotel which was fine for us but if you are not keen on stairs this room may not be for you. Old sach Windows were a bit draught at night.
