Pros:

Cheap and cheerful hotel. Was well located in Peebles ideal for tourism There was a parking lot at yhe back of the hotel and direct access to your room from there.. Room facilities .OK. The breakfast was lovely and well presented. The staff were pleasant and professional.

Cons:

The window in room directly viewed a house and there was a path along the back that crossed the window..There were only curtains so for privacy it was necessary to shut the curtains.. Maybe blinds/nets would help?? The toilet roll hold was I a crazy position if your on the toilet..

Great food, staff and location, but layout and furnishings were tired.
Pros:

Great breakfast and location; room was comfortable - we had read the reviews so knew to expect the negatives Good parking and regular bus into Edinburgh from very closeby. Though Peebles itself has much to offer.

Cons:

As one reviewer said, the decor and furnishings were 'tired' - eg avocado sink; all floor coverings could be replaced; no 'privacy' curtains at window, which people walked past. There also seemed to be no reception desk.

Good value for money and fine for a one night stay
Pros:

Early check-in, good location in the town, comfortable and a generous, well cooked breakfast.

The bathroom requires updating but everything was in good working order.

Pros:

Hotel was clean food good for evening meal.but hotel needs a revamp carpets and walls very tired and worn. showers could have been better more selection for breakfast . Staff friendly.
