Please note that a lively pub is located in the hotel and guests may experience noise from the bar during opening hours

Rooms can be accessed via the internal stairs as well, whenever the pub is open - from 11:00 until 23:00. Please note that access to the accommodations is via a single-story staircase and may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.

Please note the following restaurant opening hours:
Monday to Sunday: 12:00 to 14:30 and 18:00 to 21:00

Please note that The Black Dog is closed between 14:30 and 17:00 from Monday until Saturday. Guests will not be able to check-in during this time, unless arranged in advance.

Please note that early check-in is possible from 13:00 to 14:30.
A deposit may be required at the property.

Good, but if want a quiet room, contact the venue to make sure you don't get a road view.
Pros:

The food was good, when it eventually arrived.
The room was clean, comfortable and plenty of room for a short stay.
The staff were brilliant.

Cons:

We asked for a quiet room, but were given one which window looked out onto the street, which we had to have open because it was so warm.
The length of time it took us to be served, both with the evening meal, 40 minutes, and again at breakfast, having to wait another 40 minutes, even though there were only three others.

It was good for my purpose

Wonderful stay at the Black Dog Inn.
Pros:

The staff were welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable.
Breakfast was on order so freshly cooked. The classic full Breakfast was super and my Sis had the pancakes both days.
We slept very well.
We had two evening meals which were delicious.
Thank you fir a brilliant stay.

Cons:

The road was noisy in the morning but we were not worried by it as we slept so well.

Pros:

The staff were friendly, helpful and courteous.
The room was really pleasant and a good size. It was very clean and well appointed.
The food was really well cooked . We had the Sunday roast which had to have been the best roast dinner we've ever had in a pub setting ever. Excellent.

Enjoyable weekend stay for a wedding
Pros:

Everything was perfect from check in. Our room was spotless and very comfortable. Restaurant had a great choice of food again excellent. Breakfast choice good and food lovely.
The staff are amazing and the atmosphere in the pub was great felt very welcome
