Rooms can be accessed via the internal stairs as well, whenever the pub is open - from 11:00 until 23:00. Please note that access to the accommodations is via a single-story staircase and may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.

Please note the following restaurant opening hours:
Monday to Sunday: 12:00 to 14:30 and 18:00 to 21:00

Please note that The Black Dog is closed between 14:30 and 17:00 from Monday until Saturday. Guests will not be able to check-in during this time, unless arranged in advance.

Please note that early check-in is possible from 13:00 to 14:30.
A deposit may be required at the property.

Enjoyable weekend stay for a wedding
Pros:

Everything was perfect from check in. Our room was spotless and very comfortable. Restaurant had a great choice of food again excellent. Breakfast choice good and food lovely.
The staff are amazing and the atmosphere in the pub was great felt very welcome

Pros:

Room was light, bright and clean. The bed was large (2 singles pushed together) and comfy. A good supply of coffee/tea making bits & pieces. Bathroom nice and clean with a large easy to use shower cubicle - not a power shower but had a nice large fine shower head.
We used the restaurant each evening (two) and the food was very good. The cooked breakfast was very good but the other items were fairly basic.

Cons:

Room was situated on a front corner aspect of the building, as a result it was subject to a lot of traffic noise from the main road. The room was also very hot (even though the weather wasn't hot) and so we had to have the fan going all night (fortunately, it was a quiet one) and the window open.

Would recommend this place to anyone. A great, albeit a short stay.
Pros:

Breakfast was great and the dining room very comfortable. The evening meal we had was perfect. Very pleasant staff.

Cons:

Nothing could have been better.

Pros:

The beer garden was so beautiful with gorgeous flower arrangements on each table. The food was excellent; both dinner and breakfast! The playground was very ideal for kids who had traveled long distances with us. We drank a few pints and walked upstairs to bed. Absolutely perfect!

The Room was clean and very nicely done, Jules and all the staff were so so helpful and amazing. The location was perfect, the food was the best I’ve tasted in a very long time, brilliant chef and local produce.
