The entire stay was fantastic.
Pros:

The entire stay was fantastic. Friendly and helpful staff and great food too. Perfect location, close to subway, bus and train stations, and just a short walk to the city center. Will definitely rebook in the future.

The famed breakfast lives up to expectations - delicious and plentiful
Pros:

A very pleasant location, close to theatres and the bus station. Enjoyed the very Scottish feel of the place and the decor, it really offers a strong sense of place. Room was clean and we liked the tartan throws and cushions and the bedside lamps. The bathroom was spotless and the toiletries lovely. A choice of breakfast from the menu with a small additional buffet selection. The full Scottish breakfast is superb, but many other choices on the menu that looked equally nice.

Cons:

We were not offered the welcome dram on arrival as advertised on the website and as many other reviewers have enjoyed. The room was fairly small and due to the 'heatwave' was hot and stuffy with no apparent aircon or fan. Due to the age and character of the building the floors are very creaky both in own rooms and others, could also hear lots of sounds from other rooms including pump sounds and toilets flushing. Other than that it is a pleasant and characterful stay and would stay again.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would return if spending a night or two in Glasgow. Breakfast was great although a bit
Pros:

Great, central location. Nice friendly atmosphere and attractive cosy bar/dining area. Cheery staff.

Cons:

Room was comfortable with a great bed but overall a bit drab. The bathroom sink was much too small which resulted in the water splashing on the floor every time it was used.
