It was just about ok for a quick overnight stop to break up a train journey, but wouldn’t stay again.
Pros:

Really helpful communication with the owner, they accommodated our late check in. Very close to the train station, only 3 mins walk.

Cons:

There seemed to be one shared toilet between 5-6 rooms and we couldn’t use the sink there to wash our hands as the plug was stuck and basin full of water. Also someone had left their toothbrush in there which seemed a little strange! The WiFi did not reach our room (9). One of the twin beds was comfortable and the other really wasn’t, I only managed to get a few hours sleep.

Anticipated overnight rest wasn't fulfilled.
Pros:

Locatìon near railway station was excellent. Short walk from station. I had a long journey and took a break at Darlington to continue journey next day
Staff very welcoming and very courteous.
Unfortunately walls exceptionally thin.
Dropped off to sleep about 9.30pm
Çouple next to me started up a conversation about 11.30pm and yapped and yapped and yapped for hours. Very thin walls . Slept about 3 hours only.
One of me two of them and never know what reaction if you ask them to keep it quiet. Also I would then have been waking up other people.
Would have been better saving the money and staying on train and completing my journey.
Unlucky maybe and another night with different neighbours could have been great.
But that was my experience. Poor sleep, did not feel at all rested!

Cons:

Noisy neighbours.
Thin walls

Pros:

The location near the station was excellent and the staff were very friendly and accommodating.

Cons:

My room was small and at the top of a narrow flight of stairs, with thin walls, but this was due to the nature of the building. The owners and staff do their best to accommodate to traveller's needs.
