A lovely stay - highly recommend
Pros:

Loved the free Prosecco on arrival and special touches for our anniversary. Room was clean and comfortable, food at Asian restaurant and breakfast both delicious. Staff during check in were very friendly. Spa was clean and relaxing.

Cons:

Food in pub was disappointing, clearly cooked in an air fryer, cheese bites still cold inside.

Lakes Hotel and Spa is a little gem
Pros:

Great welcome. Detail in furnishings is beautiful in every part of the hotel. Room was nice and comfortable bed. Reception and housekeeping staff are fabulous, nothing is too much trouble. Lovely spa with pool. Nice touch of a complimentary Bentley for trips to the village and pick up from the station.

Cons:

Bathroom quite small and a space for toiletries would be welcomed. Pool closed so early in the day for children during summer holiday.

Great staff but too expensive dining and drinking made it average
Pros:

Location was great for the lakes. The Asian fusion restaurant food was the bread winner on this occasion for us.

Cons:

We didn’t like the spa and the pub were together. Felt a bit awkward walking in robes, out of the hotel, across the road and then walk past drunken dinners. Which on this occasion as a couple we were ok but young woman walking past drunken rowdy dinners wouldn’t be ideal. There was a few drunk wild people in the pub and spoilt the spa occasion for us.

The bathrooms need updated too for the price the hotels charging. Also alcohol prices are high

The hotel was exceptional, bedrooms immaculate, comfortable beds, chocolate on bed , high quality toiletries and we got a free upgrade with a hot tub on balcony. The spa was gorgeous, with bar access for cocktails etc. Lovely little pub/restaurant attached which serves delicious food . Breakfast was amazing with so much choice. Will 100 percent be back. Had 2 stays in 2 months. Absolutely loved it.
