Great location doubt we’d stay again!
Pros:

Location was great right in the centre

Cons:

The room given was not as the listing it said bath and when we went to ask they said shower or bath. We booked the property as it said bath! One member of staff was a bit bolshy but another member over heard and moved us.

Clean and tidy in an excellent location
Pros:

Our room was in a small annexe at the rear of the pub. This made access very easy for coming and going. The room was very clean and also nice and cool on a very hot weekend. The breakfast was freshly cooked and delicious. Parking is limited but we were always able to find a space.
This was my second stay here, I am sure I will be back again. It is in an excellent location.

Lovely pub atmosphere

Pros:

La posizione fantastica, cucina e colazione ottime, personale disponibile, stanza grande e accogliente (ci è stata assegnata la n.4 con fantasma, anch’essa gentile).
Il pub è antico, è stato rinnovato, ma mantenendone il carattere e senza snaturarlo.

Cons:

Il prezzo è un pò alto, ma rispecchia la media della zona.

Perfect location
Pros:

Perfect location for a gig in Peak Cavern, local pubs and sites. Very comfortable room with a splendid bathroom. Really good food prepared to order. Very friendly and polite staff.

Cons:

No complaints at all. Even the price was significantly lower than the last time I stayed here in 2023.

Short stay to go to gig.
Pros:

Good location. Good food. Friendly staff. Even had a comfy bed. Lots of space to eat and drink inside and outside the pub/hotel. The menu isn't massive ,however, we couldn't fault the food. Breakfast is very good.

Cons:

Very small carpark.

Overall good but staff let it down greatly.
Pros:

No complaints, comfy clean room, nice property, great location, very busy (affected dining experience but complaint made re this).

Cons:

Main complaint was that staff were in and out of a staff only door opposite our room, constantly from early hours for about an hour. This affected our ability to sleep. Woken early and unable to get back to sleep. Door was banging and banging! No consideration given to the paying guest opposite.

Nice rooms and great restaurant but too many other problems for it to be a first choice in future.
Pros:

The room was lovely and the bed was very comfortable.

Cons:

No TV signal and very weak wifi. It was a windy night in the valley and staff blamed this for the lack of TV signal. This didn't excuse the poor wifi though. The duty manager gave me access to a staff wifi account but this was just as bad. I was forced to hotspot to my phone which isn't really an acceptable alternative.
The room I had was next to one of the boiler rooms which made it unbearably hot. This meant that while the bed was really comfortable, I didn't get a very good night's sleep.

Clean and comfortable but basic.
Pros:

Great location. We didn’t bring a car but would’ve been able to get parked fine if we had have done - spaces available on the street behind earlier on in the day.
We were in the annexe behind the pub and our room was large and comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful when checking in and out.

Cons:

As we were in the room on the ground floor, we could hear every (very creaky) footstep in the room above us and on the staircase. The family above us woke us up twice by slamming the external door. We didn’t mention this to staff, as there was nothing they could’ve done but it’s something to be aware of if you are a light sleeper.
Room very basic and nowhere to sit other than the bed or the one desk chair. Fine if you are out and about.
