No soap in bathroom. Only one small tube of shower gel for two people. Not replenished for second day.

Caring attentive flexible staff. A very refreshing change after experiencing stays in other similar size properties when young staff are caught up with inflexible roles in regard to guests (ie in another property, front desk young staff when I asked for a plug for my bath tub told me housekeeping was closed for the day)
Also for an old hotel, it is very well maintained and charming
Booking.com was misleading as to choice of bath or shower in single rooms . Luckily when I requested a room with bath tub , the property got right back to me to explain that there were only showers in the single rooms

Good choice of hot and cold food and drinks. Excellent location, convenient for Balmoral and other castles. Very clean and comfortable.
Bed was a little soft for our liking. No on-site parking, however there is a large free car park a short walk away.
