The location, staff were very friendly and helpful, the hotel was lovely. They made myself and husband feel special on the saturday, they left a card for our wedding anniversary on our evening meal table

Very nice hotel in the middle of fields with sheep grazing around the cars. A perfect starting point for hikes. And they're incredibly nice: we forgot our passports and they drove four hours to bring them to us!!!
Excellent location to visit the North Yorkshire Railway. Plenty of parking so we could just leave the car for a couple of days while exploring the railway. Lovely room, very clean and well provisioned with water tea and biscuits. Breakfast was very enjoyable and the evening meals very tasty. Portion size meant we didn't go hungry.
Very welcomed by all staff , room recently refurbished and the finish is beautiful. Had cosy double with a huge bathroom with a lovely big bath. very good breakfast . The evening meals are very tasty and impressively big . All together great place .
Staff & location, marvellous!
The breakfast was perfect served quickly by very friendly staff. The hotel was situated in the centre of Goathland and perfect in every respect.

Excellent hotel, fabulous location. Great friendly staff, bar and dinner wonderful, breakfast even better. Large room , king size bed, very well stocked amenities. Very relaxing stay, We will be back!
Really lovely hotel the team on the front desk was so welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was brilliant and the lady serving was so kind.
breakfast excellent not a large choice selection of main meals unless you liked chicken or burgers very dog friendly
there seemed to be confusion about how you paid at the bar some charged it to the room and others wanted us to pay the system was very inconsistant and needs addressing as it caused unneccessary stress
Breakfast was fine and to be expected. Location was good for us as we were going to Grosmont
Room was tired and paintwork etc badly scuffed. Ceiling in our room was stained and just needed a fresh coat of paint.

Our room was very hot but obviously the staff couldn't help the heatwave - a fan was provided.
The staff were so lovely to our diverse group (grandparents, grandson and a sog!) and we had a lovely treat of a stay
