Great location. The staff were really helpful and friendly. The breakfast was delicious and good value for money.
The bed was 6 ft wide which was great but it wasn't very comfortable. The shower had really low pressure.
Perfect location for what we wanted. Very clean.
The stairs were difficult for me as some were different heights and it felt unsafe. Had we realized we'd have requested a first floor room. Anyone with mobility issues needs to take note. Also the shower was over the bath which is more difficult to manage as you get older.
Really liked the fact that you could build your own breakfast
The shower in the room was not the best
Clean with comfortable beds with and a very well thought out breakfast menu, so you could choose exactly what you fancied. The staff were very welcoming
Although clean, and allowing for the higgledy piggledy layout of this very old building the standard of decoration didn't match the price point. The shower was poor. Water pressure was very low and there should have been a pump. The admittedly clean shower curtain, did not work in a standard bath and just stuck to you. There was no hot water for the shower by 8:30 in the morning. The bathroom sink had a crack in it. I am at pains to point out that none of these things spoilt our stay, but did not meet our expectations at the price paid. I wouldn't return
Location
Only one bedside table, none on the other side
The choices on the restaurant menu are varied, and the food quality is excellent. The staff are courteous and helpful, especially Neeley Jones. I would definitely stay there again.
Nothing
Didn't have breakfast but comfortable, quiet room. Also good to have parking facilities at the back of hotel.
Would have liked to have been able to open at least one of the windows in the room especially as warm by the evening/ night.
nothing Dirty and noisy
it was mouldy ceiling damp and collapsed cobwebs and a noisy fan outside with two immersion heaters at side and above screaming like banshees all night Ripped bedding and very uncomfortable beds We got no sleep Was worse place i ve ever stayed Told the staff and was told they were going to refurbish Dont rent out till you have then I was charged 120 and would have been better staying in my car
Very clean throughout, nice comfortable bedroom, great breakfast and friendly attentive staff during our stay. Great location.
Comfortable, clean. Great breakfast. Lovely staff. Value for money
Lovely location! Room really quirky and clean! Good nights sleep and dinner was good
Nothing
Lovely room. Was close to everything. The parking was behind the hotel with plenty of parking spaces. Would definitely recommend eating here as the food was lovely. Would recommend reserving a table as it can be busy.
Very comfortable stay, good location
Food excellent here, evening meals and breakfast. beds comfy too.
Have to manage expectations as this is an old building, so the bedroom floor was very uneven and had to duck in the shower due to the angled ceiling. Car parking very limited so needed to park on "The Green" which is 5-10 min walk away at £5 for the night.
The staff were lovely, ensuring we had a table for dinner and all we needed. The location is amazing, a spit and a stride from the seafront.
Not suitable for anyone with balance or mobility issues as it a historic building with no straight lines. The bedroom was uphill literally from the door to my bed. One of the windows was sealed shut, so very little fresh air, and the room was very hot and stuffy, a fan was provided but that just moves stale air. Don't pay through Booking.com, as you will pay B&B prices without the breakfast. Had a shockingly expensive veggie breakfast which was more like a child's portion. The room we had was directly above the kitchen, so my early night was pointless, which I did point out to the staff in the morning.
Clean comfortable room. Staff were amazing. Food delicious.
No dedicated space for residents to sit.
