The window would not open and stay open
Breakfast was lovely and good value for money, we also had a evening meal on the night we arrived which was also really nice.
great selection of cocktails ,two for £15
we stayed on the hottest weekend of the year and had three rooms all were unbearable hot no air conditioning just a roof fan, which made it very difficult to sleep
Fabulous room, spotlessly clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful
Needed an iron and ironing board during our stay and staff had to go to the sister hotel to get one. It's a shame all rooms didn't have one
Very clean and modern room. Comfortable bed.
Very noisy location, room too hot, no fan and window wouldn’t stay open unless we propped it open with the bathroom bin.
Nice location
Too hot
Everything was good very clean and comfortable. Reasonable rates. Loved the ceiling fan. Bought one when we got home.
The room would benefit from a small table/ desk of some description.
It was lovely and clean, in a very nice location as well

Room was very clean and comfortable
Room was very warm without the fan and adjusting the water temperature in the shower was tricky, almost scolding at one time.
Spacious bedroom. Very clean. Staff are friendly and polite
There was no built in wardrobe
The location.
1. No iron available in the room. I had to ask for one before it was made available.
2. No refrigerator in the room.
3. The check in time was too late. I had to pay a fee to get into the room between 2 and 3 pm.
Bathroom mirror.
Great coffee/tea area.
The facilities nearby.
Shower was bad, Not enough water.
Pillows very hard.
Stain on toilet seat.
Hair on the floor.
Terrible noisy road. Couldn't sleep all night!
It was very clean and the room we had was huge. The staff were really friendly. It was also a great location and really good value for money, we will definitely come back.
Nothing it was great
We have stayed here twice on our extended tour of the UK and the Solo has an amazing location. Very central to the city amenities and the view cannot be beat. The food in the pub/restaurant downstairs cannot be beat. The full breakfast is amazing and the tapas for dinner are excellent.
The rooms are advertised as soundproof, but the windows of the historic building are understandably old so there is a fair amount of noise that comes through. Also, there was a wedding or something happening the Saturday of our stay, which we were not informed of. The music came through loud and clear until midnight. It would have been nice to be informed ahead of time, or perhaps provided with earplugs.
Polite staff
Very helpful
