Location was fabulous. The old hotel has great bones, unfortunately it isn't being kept up. It's a shame.
The food was not what we expected. The dining room is in the basement, no windows very hot. We had to wait for the people who had packages with tours before a regular paying guests can have breakfast or dinner. Felt a bit like a run down conversant hospital.
Staff friendly room clean lovely breakfast
Would been nice to have had a pint off beer rather than just bottle beer
Staff & food are excellent
We had room 108 sea view lovely spacious room and lovely and clean
Everything especially the view
It was clean
The bed was small to fit two people always kept waiting for items for breakfast no pleasantries from staff like hello good morning no help or communication from receptionist handed keys to room didn’t say where to go or offer help with the cases no please or thank you etc
Flott beliggenhet.
Dessverre flere ting:
Location
Room was very tired and needed complete decoration, floor sloped completely to one side, there was black damp all down the window and the old wallpaper was peeling off all the walls on the whole not value for money and not a pleasure to stay in.
Had extension lead above dressing table with five sockets thought it was very dangerous
Location was excellent, due to very hot weather ,air conditioning would have been appreciated.
We had an excellent view but the size of room was awkward, receptionist on Friday and Saturday was helpful and seemed to be doing everything, well done ,and very friendly .
Friendly staff, clean, excellent entertainment
Mattress was well worn. Room needs to be modernised - carpet in bathroom isn't nice.
Breakfast was a shambles- had to wait over 20mins for eggs to come out along with several other people and the 6 put out went in seconds , no coffee mugs, plates ran out, bread ran out, no tomatoes. Having veggie sausages was great but again a long wait. Staff were friendly but more were needed in kitchen.
The best thing about the hotel was its location. It is only a short walk from the beach and close to the town centre. The room and bathroom were quite small, but overall they were clean and comfortable.
The biggest disappointment was the parking. For a hotel charging this much per night, I expected more parking spaces. I understand there cannot be enough for every guest, but the hotel should provide more.
Breakfast was also disappointing. Guests are asked what time they will come for breakfast, so I expected everything to be ready. Instead, we had to wait several minutes for eggs because the chef only brought out four or five eggs at a time for around ten people. The same happened with other breakfast items, which kept running out.
I also felt sorry for the lady serving the breakfast room. She worked very hard, but one person simply cannot clear tables, bring clean dishes, refill food and check on all the guests at the same time. She did her best, but the hotel should have more staff during breakfast
Breakfast wasn't best
