Comfortable room, very close to the beach and sea, quiet
Everything was fine - no complaints
Everything was excellent - my sister and I stayed last October and immediately decided to come again in 2026, this time in September.
All the staff were very friendly, extremely kind and very helpful; several we remembered from last year which was an added bonus.
Our 2nd floor room with balcony had wonderful views of the sea, and cliffs to the west. It was very large and comfortable. Breakfast was great, as were the evening meals. The first 2 nights we ate in the dining room (having ordered one course each in the early evening); the 3rd night, to allow us greater flexibility, we ate in the bar and had a very good meal not ordered until c. 7.30. The food was delicous, our only complaint being that perhaps the helpings were a little too large!!

Excellent in every way.
The property was in an excellent position right on the promenade and less than 5 minutes away from the main shopping area. We went to book into the car park next door, but the lovely gentleman collecting payment let us park in there while we checked to see if there were any spaces in the hotel car park (only 3 spaces available), so we went across and unbelievably got the last space. The staff (especially on reception) in the hotel were absolutely lovely and made us feel very welcome. Our room had a balcony, so we made the most of it (when it wasn’t blowing a gale force wind) and sat outside admiring the view. Spectacular! The bed was comfortable and listening to the waves lapping against the shore was great. Breakfast was good with a choice of a full English breakfast or several fish options. The continental buffet was also extremely good. We didn’t eat at the hotel in the evening as we ate out, but the food looked good. Will definitely be back.
We were lucky to get a parking space behind the hotel and there is also on street parking if you are able to find a space, so that could be an issue. However, you know that before you arrive so it is really a case of pot luck!
The breakfast is good and you can choose all or part of the full English and vary your egg options, but it would maybe have been nice to have another option for those of us who don’t eat fish! Having said that, neither of these are major and would not stop us from returning.
The room was as we requested excellent, the view from the balcony was just what we expected excellent. The shower and bathroom was really good and towels changed every day. The only reason being no where to dry them.
No bottle water in bedroom. Presentation of breakfast lacking the final touches. Scrambled egg on muffin, two days you have a whole muffin which you need to have with the egg. The last day you only have half a muffin with the egg and noticed another guest had the other half. The presentation of this could have been finished with some watercress on top.
The menu in the restaurant/ bar area only gave day time menu when asked said they finished at 3.30pm.It did not advise that a bar menu was available in the evening. We had to park our car in the car park next to the Hotel for the 4 days, It is a very popular car park. Unfortunately on the second day the car parked next to ours on leaving late at night, crashed into the driver side front wheel and front of car and left. With no CCT cameras anywhere ( Hotel, carpark or road opposite ) we have come home to a large repair bill. This unfortunately put a sad end to a great stay/

Parking a bit of an issue. Free on road parking outside was highly sought after and difficult to obtain. Car park opposite charged £15 a day, if spaces available. Dinner menu limited and mediocre.
It was my first time travelling alone with my dog since my husband passed away last year. The staff were friendly & welcoming. The room was comfortable & the balcony was a lovely treat to listen to the waves & watch the world go by.

Location is very good, great views from front and side facing rooms. Dog friendly in all rooms which is a bonus.
Breakfast poor in quality. Poached eggs hard, brown bread cheap quality and bacon inedible. Seems to have gone downhill over the years.
Location was fantastic- room lovely and spacious with really comfortable bed
Removable shower head so you can rinse yourself
A small fridge would have been great to have
Sockets with USB ports for charging electrical devices would also have been great to have
