Stunning location
Pros:

Stunning location and building- so peaceful and remote. Tasty dinner and amazing breakfast. Beautiful interior.

Cons:

Steak for dinner for one of us not good , too chewy. With such beautiful other dishes it was a big disappointment. Also sink tabs in toilet leaking.

Fabulous stay in a dramatic setting in the Isle of Skye
Pros:

Fantastic boutique hotel on the northern end of the Isle of Skye. Very charming and in character, beautifully decorated. We had one of the larger rooms with a bay window, and it was lovely and very comfortable. We had dinner twice and it was excellent, as was the breakfast. Very friendly staff.

Cons:

It is expensive, and a bit out of the way, but so is everything in the Isle of Skye. The charm was worth the distance though.

Das Hotel hat eine super schöne, ruhige Lage und ist sehr sauber, das Essen ist phantastisch - uns hat es rundum gefallen und wir kommen gerne wieder.

Room was clean

Cons:

This hotel has no lift.
I went with my wife and daughter with 2 pieces of luggage( the luggage was relatively heavy for them to handle).
When I asked the tall male receptionist whether he was able to help me with 1 of the luggage, his answer was" only if I'm free". And of course he was never free.

Wonderful stay with outstanding food
Pros:

Beautiful small hotel. Log fires create a perfect ambience , peaceful but the best food we have had for a very long time.

Staff were brilliant and so helpful

Cons:

Access is down a long single track road but didn’t bother us.

Nettes Haus, dass für den Service und das Frühstück völlig überpreist ist.
Pros:

Zimmer war sehr schön und gross.
Badezimmer auch sehr schön

Cons:

Rezeption sehr rudimentär und abgenützt (der Bürosessel besteht nur noch aus Fetzen)
Das Personal war zT sehr nett, aber die Bedienung beim Frühstück sehr langsam. Hat den Tisch kein einziges Mal abgeräumt.
Capuccino und Espresso wird extra verrechnet beim Frühstück (bei dem Preis…!)
Die Angestellte ist ins Zimmer gekommen, um uns aufzufordern zu gehen, weil wir 7 (!) Minuten nach der Check Out Zeit (!) noch im Zimmer warten (und unsere Koffer geschlossen haben und gerade am Gehen waren). Das ist keine Servicementalität (in dem Preissegment)

Good but nothing special
Pros:

It was all perfectly pleasant but somehow lacking the extra va va voom I would expect for the price. A good place to explore Skye without the hoards of other tourists! Nice outlook over the sea loch.

Cons:

Not so keen on 12% service charge being added without question especially when it’s a couple of beers from the bar. The dinner menu was a bit dull. Don’t take a low sports car, the track to the hotel was full of bumps and potholes

Pros:

The cuisine was exceptional. The service in the restaurant was delightful. The grounds were beautiful. The history has no comparison.

Cons:

Stairs and yet one should expect the challenges when staying at historic locations. The road into the property is in need of some TLC.
