The room ok apart from towels they marked

No bake beans for breakfast
The staff at the Rochford were incredibly friendly and so helpful. The room was adequate, bit tired and dates, but comfortable. soft towels comfortable bed and good location for The Lawn venue.
no shower gel, just a small bar of soap. veggie breakfast sausage wasn't nice at all.
The lady on reception was lovely and friendly, the room was very spacious, the breakfast was lovely.
Although our room was very spacious, it had a horrid smell. The sort of smell where the carpet needs a good clean or a good hoover. Also the beds were not nice. Two singles pushed together, with no mattress protectors, and an undersheet which was not even big enough to tuck into the side of the mattress, so it was literally sitting on top and then when you turn over in bed, the whole sheet comes off. The mattress itself looked questionable too. The pillows were also completely flat and had a horrid waterproof cover on them, so they squeaked every time you moved and they smelt too. Black mould in the bathroom around the bath, and a toilet seat which did not actually fit the toilet. Unfortunately, when we left there was nobody around to tell so we just left our key in the box and went. I am sad to write this as the staff were amazing and could not be more helpful, but the building itself needs some TLC for sure and our room does need a deep clean (room 14).

I love the friendliness of the staff. They always remember we have Stayed before. Breakfast is always excellent top quality food. The rooms are always very roomy.
The late check in and early checkout.
A little basic. Rooms/ dining rooms etc seemed very bare and kind of vibe less. However for a basic hotel when you just need somewhere to stay it does what it says on the tin. Building a bit tired but very clean despite this.

Broken sink , the smell of the bedroom and the cleaning left a lot to be desired , no information pack was led to believe that we could get food there , but if a wedding is being held there’s nothing available, and if you do want a drink from the bar you have to order via your room , not the best being stuck in a smelly room

Road and plane noise. Also the breakfast room was noisy with doors slamming, crockery clanging, too many hard surfaces, need something to buffer the noise.

The room was dirty, the shower leaked on the floor, no bath mat in the bath, we had to ask, we weren’t told about a wedding there on the day we arrived, so we’re not been able to use the restaurant or bar

Banging doors late night
Although the gentleman was very pleasant & polite that was on the reception, I felt he shouldn't have taken our meal order and served our breakfast and that wasn't his fault.. i feel that should have been a separate staff member.
