The road to the hotel is a bit of a challenge with lots of potholes 🥺 but worth making a slow drive to the building

The pillows were a bit hard.
Easy access via a code. Nice reception letter, key to room with a pre-requested breakfast bag on the side for me in reception area. Very clean bathroom, bright white soft towels. Friendly staff/owners?? which I happen to see on exit.
It felt as though I was totally on my own, which was a little unnerving at first. But I did some checks to satisfy myself. Pillows could do with an upgrade. I didn't realise I needed to pay on exit so if would have just left it I hadn't bumped into someone on exit. That said my credit card was lodged at time of booking so I guess if would have been charged on.
Very accommodating as we were arriving late due to late shuttle from France.
Breakfast was exceptional.
Disappointed that we missed out on the opportunity to try the hawkstone beer and the evening menu looked fab!
If we're back in the area, we would definitely stop here again!

Arrived at 10 pm and nobody around, which I was told about in advance, but as a single woman still felt strange.

Staff were friendly, food was great and Hawkestone on tap. Car park was safe and secure, and the whole place was spotlessly clean.
Bed was a small double and the mattress wasn’t comfortable.
Customer service was very good.
Check in and check-out time seem odd and to the customer's disadvantage. Check-in is commonly from 12noon as well as checkout.
As the check-in was from 3pm then, check-out ought to be around 12noon as against 10:30am.
Kindly look into this, as some customers shared same concerns.

Friendly helpful welcoming staff. Lovely food. In a pretty location within easy distance of the M1. Pretty garden with a stream and also a fish pond filled with huge fish. Lovely room, comfortable bed.
Staff were friendly, the breakfast choice was good, and overall quality of food very good. The room was small but sufficient, and the surrounding area was very pleasant
