The location it was clean and a lovely room
I was woken at 4.30 by a delivery. There was lots of noise from a lorry unloading and doors opening and closing.
Fabulous location for Great Yorkshire Show, wonderful room, great pub too!
Nothing
Exactly where we needed to be. Saved hours of travel time.
All good from our point of view.
Location and breakfast
No towel holder for hand towel and thin walls heard everything next door
Great looking pub/hotel in a good location
Room 8 is just not suitable for families, just outside is the kitchen staff smokers area therefore the room gets frequent unpleasant fumes. This is the second year running we have stayed here, frequently in the first visit breakfast choices were unavailable, we only attempted breakfast once this visit and 4 out of 5 of us could not have our selected breakfast. This after being woken at 5am by noisy delivery wagon, which obviously didn't deliver food. The day before The Great Yorkshire show and inadequate food availability? I would not recommend staying there which is a shame as it's a nice place. Footnote: we did receive a discount for our issues but its doubtful we will return
Freshly cooked to order.
Everthing was perfect nothing to fault, came for a relaxing evening and it was perfect 10/10
Was nothing to dislike
Beautiful pub with good sized rooms. Very comfortable. Food was great and good choice. Staff really friendly and efficient.
Everything amazing Staff
Nothing
Room was very comfortable and adquate for a one night stay. Bathroom was clean and well appointed. We enjoyed dinner in the restuarant and found this to be very good value for money. Breakfast was very good and overall service from staff was excellent. Very cosy bar and restaurant areas with lovely views and nice outdoor space to drink or dine. We would use again if travelling to Scotland as a venue to break our journey.
Some small touches needed to finish the bathroom renovation a higher standard.
Staff were excellent and friendly. The building itself had lots of character.
The room was small and very warm, even with the provided fan on throughout the night.
Nice sized , clean room and great bathroom..
The food and menu was very good with nice service from the staff.
Safe and secure parking.
All good,
Friendliness and how accommodating the Manager was when we explained we were attending a wedding nearby and needed somewhere to get changed as we arrived before check-in time. We were given early access to our room which was fantastic. Lovely comfortable room and breakfast was excellent too.
Nothing.
We stayed for one night as we were attending a show in Harrogate and thought it would be quieter than Harrogate on a Saturday night.
We have had meals here before so knew the place and area.
Our room was of a very good size. I worried the mattress may be too firm for my painful shoulder but it was absolutely fine.
The room and en-suite were clean and comfortable with everything needed for a stay.
Food was excellent as well as the friendly service.
It's a lovely spot. Very much a country pub with lovely open countryside views to the back.
Plenty of parking.
It's next to a busy main road but there again the Kestrel Inn can't control that.
We had a great stay and would definitely recommend it to others.
Noisy main road but that's not The Kestrels fault.
Bed comfortable fan provided in the room which was helpful as the weather was very hot
we were told that if we wanted fruit and yoghurt off the menu in addition to the full cooked breakfast we had to pay extra as the allowance for breakfast was the price of the full cooked breakfast. This wasn't explained anywhere when I booked B&B
