Room was excellent. Plenty of car parking spaces. Whole layout of the bar and restaurant area was good with lots of outside space.

Everything was excellent
Excellent food at a fair price is their main focus and it is good. Clean room. Attentive staff. Glass milk bottle in room fridge and home made cookies with the kettle.
I was given a sandwich, a packet of crisps and some juice to put in the room fridge for breakfast as, like every worker, I needed to be at my customer when breakfast would be served at 9am. I stayed at another hotel the following night because of this but even they only started breakfast at 8am.. I wish Booking.com made it clear when the cooked breakfast that's been paid for is served. Even on holiday I wouldn't want to waste half my day waiting for breakfast.
Another minor niggle is the fact that although there is an ample supply of soaps in the bathroom, there is nowhere to put them while in the shower. I found I could just about balance a bottle on the top of the shower door .
Everything. Can’t find a problem. Comfy beds, nice rooms, great staff, nice food.

Friendly and helpful staff. Sotlessly clean room. Excellent food. My breakfast granola is the best I have ever had. I wanted to extend my stay but they were fully booked.
The duvet felt heavy.

Very nice room, recently refurbished I would say. Plenty of hot water and good shower. Good stock of tea coffee and hot chocolate in room. Comfortable bed, sockets with USB ports on each side next to handy little shelves for phones etc. We had an evening meal which was excellent. A very god full breakfast next morning. All staff we dealt with were polite, friendly and efficient.
Not a dislike for us, but it is an old building with narrow steep stairs so if you have mobility issues this would be a problem. It does give it a quirky vibe though.
Great food and bar
We found this hidden gem last minute over the Easter weekend and so happy we did. The place is lovely, decor beautiful, the room was immaculate with a lovely touch of homemade brownies and shortbread delicious. We ate in the restaurant for lunch and evening and my partner is gluten free they could not do enough to accommodate him and it made the stay even more exceptional. The staff were so friendly and warm and it has a lovely feel to the whole place. Certainly recommend this place but be quick it gets booked up a lot. From staff, room, food, location it was perfect. Couldn't fault it and would definitely go back and recommend.
