Family run hotel
Pros:

Host was very friendly and helpful. Nice freshly cooked breakfast. Close to everything. Front part of house very old and had character.

Cons:

I didn't expect such a Spartan room - a fan, beds, 1 bedside table, some shelves and one bare light globe. But then I realised that in a town of 10,000 people I was expecting too much. Had to buy our water as the big communal bottle was never delivered.

Great stay!
Pros:

Excellent stay, hosts were super welcoming and the room is pleasant with great views. The breakfast is tasty and plentiful.

The owner even let me have a quick refresh in my room after a doing the Camino Real.

Best stay in traveling g 2 months in Colombia
Pros:

I loved everything! My hosts are the most gracious, kind people ever. Lovely room with window and plenty of room , comfortable bed, window, hot water and immaculately clean. Lovely fresh cooked breakfast every morning with eggs, fresh fruit, fresh juice, coffee , bread, arepa and hot chocolate if desired. Beautiful areas with beautiful plants

Nothing. I want to live there!

Warm welcome in the heart of Barichara
Pros:

Great location, kind and understanding hosts. A truck drivers’ strike had been announced for the second night we were supposed to stay at the place, and since we had a flight coming up for which we had to be back in Bucaramanga, we decided to leave Barichara a day early. They understood our situation and did not charge us for the second night. Also, we have learned that warm showers are not a norm in Colombia, so it was nice to be to take one there! :)
