Excellent choice to avoid the LEZ while getting into the old city easily
Pros:

The room is bigger than what I expected. Beds are definitely comfy (or I was so exhausted that I almost died on it :-D ). Very friendly staff also. Location is far from the city centre but this is great if you reach by car, since the hotel is just at the border of the LEZ area (low emissions zone) and has free parking spots. This will save you from needing the green sticker that allows entering the LEZ zone.

The train station is less than 5 minute walk from the hotel and tickets aren't expensive (and if you want to take the risk, tickets are rarely checked by the train inspector) so you can get into the Cologne Cathedral in about 20 minutes.

Cons:

The hotel needs a bit of maintenance (for instance, the toilet tank broke at the end of our stay). It looks like it's being renovated but the process hasn't finished yet (new bathrooms, old doors).

Zimmer und Ausstattung nicht gut, Personal freundlich
Pros:

Personal war freundlich.

Cons:

Fenster war zum Laubengang. Dadurch keine Sicherheit und keine richtige Lüftung möglich. Zimmer wurde extrem warm und dann gab es nicht mal eine Klimaanlage.Das Zimmer war ok für eine Nacht.

Pros:

The hotel was very clean, and the room was spacious and comfortable. Housekeeping was done every day, which was a great plus. The location was very convenient, close to the highway, shops, and petrol stations. Overall, we had a pleasant stay and would recommend this hotel.
