The location was perfect right on the trail.

I don’t normally leave negative reviews, but my experience here was sufficiently poor that I feel it is worth sharing.

On arrival, my first impression was that the staff were abrupt. Also, after waiting 3 hours, I was informed that check-in was at 14:30, despite my booking explicitly stating 14:00

Unfortunately, the situation became considerably more uncomfortable the following morning.
Shortly before checking out, I returned to my room and encountered a member of the staff/family who was extremely angry about how I had used the room. I had specifically booked a private room—the only one available contained three single beds, but as it was my birthday, I wanted a space to myself and was happy to pay for it. She repeatedly pointed at the beds and at me in an angry, confrontational manner, even invading my personal space at one point.

I had left the room exceptionally tidy, but I was being reprimanded simply for using extra pillows from the other beds in a room I had fully paid for (80 euros) - see photos!
I went to reception and discreetly asked if the owner could speak with me to address the situation. The owner did not come. Instead, I was told that this person’s behavior was something they were accustomed to and that she regularly acts this way. I found that response particularly disappointing—if this is a recurring problem, management needs to address it rather than normalize it.
Having stayed at many accommodations along the Camino, I fully appreciate that these are often simple, humble establishments. However, I still expect to be treated with basic courtesy and respect.

The toilets linked to the restaurant were bad … no toilet roll , no soap and needed a good clean .
The bed was very hard - like sleeping on a table and the pillows very uncomfortable. The bed had a nylon bedspread .. uncomfortable and gaudy . Room felt like a prison cell as we had to keep the curtains closed as people were walking right passed the bedroom window . Would not recommend here
