This was not a preplanned stop the location was right for the time of day I was passing through. A quick check of the reviews on the side of the road and using the app I booked my accommodation for the night.
The reception doesn’t exist in this hotel. It’s across the road in another hotel. This isn’t explained when you book online. I was given a room up six flights of stairs. There is by no lift so this meant several trips up and down the stairs as I unloaded my motorcycle as the car park is unsecured. The room doors are very narrow making it difficult to enter carry your baggage. The WiFi did not work in the room. The router is on the middle floor corridor and is not powerful enough to send a signal to the top floor. In the end I caught up with email etc by sitting in the middle floor corridor. There is no hotel information in the room so again up and down 6 flights of stairs and crossing the road to wait for someone to turn up at reception at the other hotel to ask for the WiFi password. The TV did not work because the batteries in the remote control had corroded. So pleased I was travelling with a book for entertainment! When compared to my previous nights stay in Saumur where my hotel was cheaper, cleaner came with coffee making facilities and working TV and WiFi and a manned reception this hotel de la Paix failed miserably. La disponibilidad del hotel, dormimos muy bien, tiene aire acondicionado y parking privado aunque no vallado. Muy amablemente pudimos conversar en español.
La gestión y el restaurante se lleva a cabo en el hotel de enfrente.
Siendo un edificio antiguo no dispone de ascensor.
No somos fans de la moqueta y podrían renovar el baño.
