Rien
Very attractive common areas and room. Convenient location.
Everything!
The location, the decor, the ambience, the breakfast. All fantastic.
Nothing.
What a delightful stay. My wife and I loved the location (easy walking distance to town but far enough to avoid most traffic noise, etc.), views of the water, and the charming interior. The manager/host was very pleasant, and we enjoyed each breakfast.
Fabulous stay with incredibly attentive staff. The little orange juice suprise at our bedroom door in the morning and the chef cooked breakfast in their beautiful kitchen was testament to their attention to detail. Great experience all round.
Nothing😉
My wife and I had a pleasant one night stay while on our way to the Isle of Mull. It had been raining all day when we arrived with stormy seas and strong winds continuing through the night. We were pleasantly received by the hostess and taken to our room, which was very nice, cozy and spacious. The room was a bit chilly so we asked for the heater to be turned on; unfortunately, she could not get the radiator handles to turn and neither could I! She recommended using the space heater, which over a couple hours had the room toasty. NBD. We had a balcony view of the sea but never got to enjoy it due to the storm although the view was very nice. Dinner was at Porcini's at there sister location No.17 The Promenade just two 2 homes down. They were able to accommodate our vegan diets with offerings of delicious soup and pasta. Breakfast at No.26 was decent; the chef tried to make us freshly prepared basic vegan choices, which was much appreciated. Overall, a great stay! Would definitely return in a heartbeat.
We had 2 nights at No 26 and we enjoyed enormously. The room was lovely and ideal for us and our Border Terrier and the public rooms were very tasteful and comfortable.
Drinks in the evening looking over the water was a favourite.
Finally the welcome and ongoing service from the team was excellent.
What a fantastic hotel. Brilliant service with a glass of fizz on arrival. Fantastic location and all of the staff were so friendly and helpful. We will definitely return and would recommend this hotel for anyone considering a stay in Oban.
Hotel is in an excellent location overlooking the sea. The room was lovely, well equipped and very clean. Staff were lovely and friendly and the service was excellent. Breakfast was superb. Would highly recommend!
We have just returned from a 2 night stay in the woodland cottage with our 2 dogs. On arrival the friendly receptionist showed us to the cottage and gave us a few restaurant recommendations that were dog friendly. There were 2 big dog beds and bowls provided with some treats which they absolutely loved.
The cottage is fantastic, it has a very cosy homely feel to it. A self catering kitchen with all the utensils, a fridge with a freezer drawer, microwave, oven and 2 ring electric hob. The little bottle of milk and water in the fridge was perfect for arrival with some tea and biscuits. The sitting room and kitchen area are open plan with sliding doors out onto the private patio area which was great for the dogs.
The bedroom and shower room were up stairs. The sliding doors in the bedroom were lovely to have open slightly to hear the trees and rain in the evening.
The main hotel offers large umbrellas to borrow when out walking which were used 100% of the time. Also there is a fantastic lounge with an honesty bar with some soft drinks and alcoholic choices too. We didn’t use the lounge however it has a beautiful view out across the water to sit and relax and enjoy a drink.
A couple of pointers for the hotel to keep in mind, the soap dispenser in the toilet and shower were not full on arrival and after 1 day they were empty. I really liked the layered levels of plants/bushes in the patio area and I get it’s a woodland cottage however some bushes were quite overgrown and needed a tidy up. A brighter outside light would be great as well at the patio area.
We would definitely return to the cottage again. We had a very relaxing stay and the dogs loved it too. Fingers crossed for drier brighter weather when we do.
The breakfast was superb.....beautiful attention to detail.
The hotels location was fantastic with beautiful views and walking distance to oban centre.
The decor was gorgeous, cosy and very chic.
Staff were superb.
I found our bedroom a little bit small.
It's was cosy, beautifully decorated with all you could possibly need.
Absolutely wonderful stay. Beautiful room and garden area, ideally located and wonderful breakfast! Really couldn’t ask for anything more!
Everything !
Parkplatz first come, first serve und sehr eng. Zumindest bei der teuren Wohnung könnte man einen reservieren. 50£ f. 2 Personen für das Frühstück je Nacht wirken leicht übertrieben, zumal es inkl. ist, wenn man direkt bucht.
