We do not accept Group Bookings.

Pros:

One glass of wine and a pint of Belhaven…£18.90. Be warned.

Room was quite small. It was a squeeze to get around the bed past the desk and closet.

Pros:

La ubicación, la decoración, la amabilidad del personal, la comida del restaurante, el ambiente del bar, la amplitud de la habitación y el excelente desayuno.

Cons:

Me hubiera gustado que hubiera habido un ascensor por el tema de subir la maleta hasta la habitación. Aunque el personal se ofrecio a ayudarnos con ellas.

Very good, just some small things that need addressing
Pros:

All good, like most hotels this day and age, needs a little TLC to spruce up a bit

Cons:

Bar staff language was a little blue at times, I have no issue with this, but not when customers can hear it.
Staff also chewing gum, again I would not allow this, looks dreadful and unprofessional

Hotel or pub?
Pros:

It was quite clean and the rooms were a comfortable size. The breakfast was really nice as well.

Cons:

Stayed there on a Friday. We were placed in a room right above the restaurant/pub, where loud live music played until 11:45 PM. We could it hear it very clearly in our room and it was very unpleasant after a long, tiring day of hiking. At the end of the day, this is a hotel. The main thing you need to provide is a comfortable place to sleep. Everything else should be secondary.

Enjoyable and close to the village atmosphere
Pros:

evening meals - steak delicious but need to add a mushroom, gaelic or pepper sauce instead of only ketchup - but only a small thing. I could have stayed at the macdonald complex - massive and more expensive - but I wanted the personal touch of a family type hotel who remembers you.

Cons:

Maybe a bit more staff. Staff very busy all the time and under pressure. But, still they were excellent. I stayed on two different occasions and thy made me feel very welcome both times.
