Friendly people, comfortable hotel, but noisy (we did have a room at the front). Great for our dog.
Pros:

Locarion, but extremely noisy.
Staff were great.
Great beers.
We took Bruce, our Yorkie.

Cons:

The noise from outside, including traffic but mainly rowdy customers, also the music that was played until 23.30.
Decor could do with an update.

The location

Cons:

The staff sadly wasn't too welcoming, didn't ask how my stay was... They had coffee machine at bar, but make it very clear 3 and a half minutes was too long for them to go and make it.

Excellent value for money in a great spot in Barmouth
Pros:

The rooms where simple but had everything needed for an over night stay and very clean

Cons:

There where no windows in the room you had to open a door onto a public access metal staircase or use a fan that was on the room

Pros:

Beds were very comfy, fresh tea & biscuits every day.

Cons:

The noise from bar very loud. Shower was too hot couldn't put it on cool. Needed a blind put in Shower room and a vent.

Cons:

The room not having a window...just fire escape door...in need of repair infact..a new one!..not very secure. Shower could be bigger..No safe in room.

Cheap to get your head down....
Pros:

Beautiful location, quite literally sun, sea and mountains. Breakfast team were particularly friendly and welcoming.
Breakfast was lovely (stick to fried or scrambled egg) and a sausage was provided for our dog, very dog friendly establishment, lots of dog friendly shops, eateries and bars around.
Fantastic towels, big, white and fluffy.

Cons:

Cleanliness was not great in the shower, lots of built up grime on the shower head (had to clean before I'd stand under it) shower could have done with a good bleach top to bottom. Toilet seat kept sliding. That said, everywhere else was clean. Very tired, needs a bit of investment, wallpapered bathroom ceiling is coming away. Rooms didn't feel particularly secure, so we carried valuables. Room was excruciatingly hot, there was a huge fan, but no draft from it whatsoever, blew my mind, how a working fan created no breeze at all.
Very noisy upstairs if you go to bed before the pub closes and the karaoke is on.
