Excellent breakfast great choice nice and hot
Bed covers and pillows could have been better.
Our room was at the front of the hotel. There was a lot of noise well into the early morning.

A little dated
Good room size and very comfortable bed with excellent pillows.
Everywhere was very clean and tidy.
Toiletries, hairdryer with diffuser, gowns,slippers all provided.
Enjoyed sea bass for our evening meal. The breakfast was buffet style but with lots of cooked food choices alongside cereals pastries fruit etc.
Welcomed into breakfast room and the set up explained. Hot drinks and toast were served to the table which was nice.
All the staff were very friendly welcoming and helpful but a special mention goes to Molly who was lovely and served both our evening meal and breakfast. A ray of sunshine!
The only downside for us was the noise of the TV from another room. We had an adjoining with a locked door between. We were only staying the one night so it wasn’t really an issue just a minor thing to mention.

It’s 10 min walk from train station & 5 mins to the shops. It’s beautifully decorated. The rooms are spotless. Beds really comfy. The buffet breakfast was great. Staff are really friendly. This was my 2nd stay & it is definitely my go-to hotel whenever im in Montrose.

Everything was excellent apart from the bedroom being a bit too hot. But room was very clean. Would like a bit more shower gel as there was 2 of us in room and one was not enough.

Decor a bit tired in our room, even in the lounge, worn and torn arms on sofas.
