Shower was weak

Nothing this was a beautiful first class experience. Room was delightful very clean and exceptionally comfortable sleep.I had the superior king size room worth every penny .

A walk-in shower would have been good. Climbing in and out of a bath in your 80’s isn’t recommended.

Restaurant closed, so had to find alternative for dinner, breakfast was buffet so quite dry as under hot plates

That you couldn’t get evening meal at hotel on the Sunday & Monday had to go elsewhere.

Room we had above reception was very noisy with doors slamming most of night

The room was roasting. You could hear absolutely everything from the people in the next room . I had to find a staff member to be let out after 11:00 and in the booklets for the hotel you are told you can order small snacks and be delivered with room service but I was told there was nothing . that was disappointing

Wij kiezen altijd bewust voor hotels met restaurantfaciliteiten, omdat wij het prettig vinden om na een lange dag eropuit geweest te zijn ’s avonds in het hotel te kunnen dineren. Dat is voor ons een belangrijk onderdeel van het comfort tijdens een verblijf. Bij aankomst bleek echter dat het restaurant en de bar op zondag- en maandagavond gesloten zijn. Dit kwam voor ons als een onaangename verrassing, aangezien wij hier bij het boeken geen rekening mee hadden kunnen houden.
Deze informatie stond niet vermeld in onze boekingsbevestiging en was ook niet duidelijk zichtbaar bij de boeking op de site van Booking.com

Achteraf hebben wij gezien dat deze sluitingsdagen wel op de eigen website van het hotel worden vermeld, maar wij vinden dat dit soort belangrijke informatie ook via Booking.com duidelijk gecommuniceerd zou moeten worden.

Hierdoor hadden wij vooraf een beter geïnformeerde keuze kunnen maken, wat in ons geval helaas niet mogelijk was.


We always deliberately choose hotels with restaurant facilities, as we appreciate the convenience of being able to have dinner at the hotel after a long day out. For us, this is an important part of a comfortable stay. However, upon arrival we discovered that the restaurant and bar are closed on Sunday and Monday evenings. This came as an unpleasant surprise, as we had not been able to take this into account when making the booking. This information was not included in our booking confirmation and was also not clearly visible at the time of booking on the Booking.com website.

Afterwards, we noticed that these closing days are mentioned on the hotel’s own website, but we believe that such important information should also be clearly communicated via Booking.com.

As a result, we were not able to make a fully informed decision in advance, which was disappointing in our case.

I specifically requested a room accessible via lift or on the ground floor and was assured that I would get this. However upon arrival I was informed that our rooms were not on the ground floor, there was no lift and the hotel was fully booked so no other rooms were available. It's lucky we just needed it because we had a lot of kit and not because either of us had a disability. I hate to think what would have happened had one of us been unable to cope with stairs at all.

I noticed a lot of black hairs in the bathroom both on the floor and by the sink, which made it feel very unclean to me.

Nothing
