Spend a bit more money and stay somewhere else.
Pros:

The location is very good, as it is walkable from King's Cross. The room was cleaned thoroughly.

Cons:

The room was in dire need of renovation, the furniture was extremely old and the bed creaked loudly and shook every time I moved in it. The shared bathroom was also badly in need of an upgrade, the window was open and people on the street could see inside the bathroom. It needed to be open showering as otherwise there was no extractor fan. There were hairs in the bathroom from people shaving that hadn't been cleaned. The shower itself was very old and slow to heat up, I thought the hot water wasn't working at first but it just took several minutes to warm up before being scalding hot. The hotel itself was accessed via a horrible side entrance on a set of stairs that you had to use off the main road that looked like a fire escape, rather than a proper reception desk. It felt extremely dodgy.

A great room on a cool night out.
Pros:

Checking-in is a smooth process, and the manager was very accommodating-accompanying us to our room, and was very clear about procedure.

Great location - a lot for almost £150 a night

Great location. Very convenient

Cons:

Room did not match the pic. The bathroom was outside the room so I had to cross the corridor of other rooms. The man who showed me to my room said this was clearly stated on booking.com and when we looked at it together it wasn’t lol so he lied to me. Room was dated and not very clean but I did sleep well in the end

Budget accommodation in poor condition in need of maintenance.
Pros:

Very conveniently located near to Kings Cross train station.

Cons:

The property is tired and in need of modernisation and refurbishment and has clearly suffered from rotten wood within the windows and loft hatch, and generally could benefit from maintenance and updating. The shower tray had some mould etc and needed a refresh.
