Great, relaxing and as a family who are spread over the uk, it a great place to meet up.
Pros:

Food was very good, despite the fact that the staff had an exceptional amount of visitors at breakfast they managed to serve us efficiently, friendly and quickly.

Cons:

The only aspect which I felt could have been improved, although I do not know how, is the bar area and the drawing room area, as there were so many people visiting it needed to be larger, there was ample table and chairs outside but insufficient in my opinion inside.

Cons:

Brighter and prettier room maybe discount on that room as looking out onto car park

We loved the location and the staff were so friendly and helpful.
Pros:

The location was excellent and we had beautiful views of the river. The staff were very welcoming and friendly, even the man that was maintaining the cleanliness of the pathway in the garden, stopped and asked us how our day had been. The grounds were kept immaculate.

Cons:

If I’m being very picky, the decor/furniture was a bit dated and the one lamp beside the bed wasn’t close enough to a socket to be plugged in so wasn’t able to use it.

Good stay
Pros:

The hotel was well located, spacious lounge and bar areas, fantastic riverside location, friendly staff and good breakfast.

Cons:

There was a wedding on the day we stayed so parking was a nightmare. Car park full. But we booked mainly for the on-site parking. Room was a bit tired - no hand held shower attachment, TV handset not working, decor needs touching up. Maintenance needs to be more on-going. Little things build up.

Lovely relaxing weekend
Pros:

Location was excellent, right on the river, but only a short walk into the city.

Cons:

Although there is free parking outside the hotel and at the back, there’s not enough parking for the number of guests

It was a much needed moment of calm and relaxation.

It was such a lovely location with easy access to the riverside walk. The hotel was cosy and comfortable and the staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming. The evening meal was superb.

Nothing at all. We very much enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning.
